Has anyone seen a 2 plant dwc system; my space is only small 50x40cm floor space. thinking 2 oxypots of dwc buckets will not fit in. If i have to build the system what size (gallon) container should i use for 2 plants.

Cheers in advance. peace x

Why 2 plants, why not just one? It'll get crowded in there, but if you want them to share a rez I'd say around 10 gallons, with 8 gallons of nutrient solution in the rez leaving space for the netpots not to be submerged too much.

I have seen guys use 27 gallon totes for 2 plants at opposite corners. As the other poster mentioned, you could get the same yield out of one if you learned a little about training them.

I used an 18 gallon tote for 2 plants at opposite corners, got crowded and one of them never stopped vertical growth during flower...hit the roof on me when I switched to 12/12 at 12 inches...Didn't expect her to grow 5x during flower...lol...So maybe it's not the best comparison, but they had a decent amount of room for root growth left at the end of the grow.

is so hard to find a 10 gallon tub thatll fit in the area i have, as metasynth (thanks) mentioned; would you recommend just growing 1 plant in the floor space i have. the cab is 2m tall so about 160cm growing height space.

Thanks

One 5 gallon bucket with a 5 or 6 inch netpot, air pump and 6" airstone, topped and LST'd or ScrOG will make you a very happy camper.

also to add. i really want to aim for 6oz every 2-3 months; using a 250w hps in there. am i asking too much ? so thats 170g for the 250w to muster.

If you're new to growing, I don't think you should be setting too many goals or time limits for yourself, it'll take a harvest or two to get into the swing of things...I think it's possible, but it won't be easy...just work on sucessfully growing a plant or two first.

Well, you said 2 or 3 months...you can grow a fast strain in 3 months, sure, but you gotta have things dialed in and you might not get 6 ounces.

yeah think im getting too carried away. will settle with a single plant and see how its pans out. Cheers matey for the help.

A 6 ounce plant is a big plant, not sure your cab is large enough...6 ounces dry bud takes up quite a lot of space while wet and growing...

yeah think ill just grow 1 plant and see how it pans out; getting too carried away here looking at other peoples threads. Thanks for the help matey

No worries...It's fun to get carried away, and by all means if you have the resources, go for it! Haha, I'm trying to get a bit carried away myself...I've been growing with CFL's up until recently, and have daydreams about a perpetual grow where I harvest like 4-5 plants every three weeks...I'm germinating my third set of seeds today, have 3 more weeks of veg left on the second set, and my first set got vegged 6 weeks and is now on 12/12 under 400w hps and 387w CFL's...I even went as far as to install a 5000btu window air conditioner to the room I vent to and draw air from...I really just need to start cutting holes in the wall, but I don't own the place!

Didnt mean to post 2 identical replied there, oops. 50x60 floor dimension infact; not much difference; some cheap single door wardrobe from ikea. mite think about building a small veg area aswell. Sounds like you have a nice setup there; wish i had more room and my own place; so everything doesnt have to be so god damn stealthy

Yeah, stealth is hard to pull off big numbers, but I'm sure you'll figure out a way some how!! Necessity is the mother of invention, after all.

I'm thinking of doing 2 plants in each 18 gallon tote we're using, still nine gallons per plant, should be fine.
