Hey guys just need reassurance, one of my 5 plants in 3 gal smart pots, the biggest..

I'm just curious if this will be alright to flower and won't end up getting root bound..

Btw this is my first grow and have been quiet a learning curve..

I wouldn't think you'd have a problem long as your flowering soon. Could more than double in size but once the stretch stops root growth slows exponentially I believe?

OK will be putting to flower within the next few days.. I'm not expecting a lot as this is my first grow so don't care about yield at first just to learn.

Thanks for your reply

Two month veg. From seed to the end of a month my plants are already root bound in a three gallon and are ready from 7 gal pots. Are those plants in the picture at the two month mark? Just asking because they seem a little small.

yep, i would flower now, they will be fine, or up pot and wait 2 weeks for roots to adjust. I do 3 gallon pots all the time, get about 3 ozs jarable bud plus trim per plant, depending on strain of course, with
are you lighting those indoor, or growing in pots in the yard?

I gotta stay under 5' with 5 gallon pots, and I try to keep it under 5 months; however, one of the new strains I'm working on has broken these rules and is growing tall and yielding magazine worthy returns. It has maybe 4-6 colas with forearm length. I work 60 hours a week so it's nice to finally see some great results instead of the disappointment I've seen most of the year. I'm definitely cloning this gal for my negligent style of growing lately.

Yes they are different strains and have been topped multiple times they would have been a lot larger if I hadn't toped.

OK I have some 5 gallon smart pots coming, but I'll just flower these girls as is. Next lot of seeds I'll pot up to max 5 gal to see how things go..

Back 3, 2 months old front 2 over a month roughly...

All unknown seed and different strains also.

I've been running 3 gallon builders buckets for 60/70 days flowering for a while now.
All clones.
Gotta water every other day though.
Just chopped 10 GDP earlier today, colas as long and as thick as your forearm.
