2 Day Old Plants... WHATS WRONG???

PLEASE HELP ME...

So I just bought 4 clones and got them started. I am using a drip system, 10 gallon rez, and a 1000HPS. I was told by the guys at the hydro store to only water once a day for 15min. I believe that the leaves on the plants are dry and need more water/nuets, but as this being my very first grow I need all the help I can get.

My nuets: Advanced Nutrients Sensi Grow A & B, Dark Energy, Hygrozyme, and Nutriboost 1...

Thank You

Matt:weed:

You have to spray down clones at least three times a day with pure h2o water so the humidity stays at about 80-100 percent, so keep watering like you are and spray those leaves frequently.
hiope i helped

Ok great thank you... I will start that in the morning. I called a friend and he told me to water for 15min every 3 hs. What do you think about that?

Thank You

wait, your supposed to have the rockwool damp and not soaked arent you?

cause then the roots will look for water and stretch..

i just cut the top off of a 3 liter or something and leave it in there with a light on it..every so often pick it up and blow in it ahah..

this pic is when i first got my clones..

That is what I have read... I have read that you only water it a couple of times a day, but the guy that gave me a lot of my set up said to water it for 15 min every 3 hrs. Also thank you, I will go buy some soda tomorrow.

Did you look at my photos? What do you think is wrong? As far as watering, how often do you think I should water my plants

Thank You

well actually when i was rooting mine i didnt really even have to water them after the first time..it will stay real nice and humid in the soda bottle.. every clone i have had ive only had to water it once and MAYBE twice...but by then they pretty much were rooted

your first one looks like it has a nitrogen deficiency.. or if you've been watering your clones too much..they are probably starved of oxygen..

no problem man :leaf:

See but I bought these from a Co-op and they sold them to me the rockwool that it was in had roots all through it, but the cubes were tiny and I put them into 6" RW cubes. I am wondering if maybe the plants are not getting enough of some chemical or not, like a chemical deficiency.

Who told you to water for that long if your cubes feel wet then don't water too many people get inti the habbit of watering when there is no need .Perhaps when plants are older but at this age it is not nessesary sray some of your nutes on the cubes when they feel a little dry and get a second spray with some soda water in make sure he soda water has no additives just water and co2 spray the leaves with this but turn your fans off for 5/10 minutes while plant absorb the co2 but i still think that the main problem with your clones are over watering have they got roots showing yet if so then do what i say for a week or so but even if you have a co2 unit carry on with the spraying plants love it.If the roots are not showing then the prat who has told you to put them on a drip system this early has prob washed all the rooting gel or powder of this will make plants take longer to form a root system pull at them very gentle and if they pull straight out re cut at 45 degree angle put rooting gel or powder on all though gel is better thats just my oppinion though if they have a hold then just keep the cubes damp not wet through.

OK so today I checked my PPM and it went up to 650 from 590. Do I add more water to my rez or how do I bring the PPM down? Also what do you recommend my watering schedule should be?

Thank you,

Matt

to bring the ppm down you can add distilled water..

water them when the rockwool is almost dry
Ok so Distilled Water will help lower the ppm. I took it off the watering schedule I had it on and hopefully that will fix this yellowing problem.

Also I read about bubblestones. If I threw a bubblestone in the rez of my drip system, could that help give O2 to the roots of my plants? If yes, does a bubblestone change the pH in my rez?

One last thing, I was told that my light might be too close too the plants. Do you think that could be the reason for the pattern of yellowing found on my plants?

Thank You

Matt

They are clones, You do not need to water as often, just do not let the rockwool dry out.

As for the leafs being dry, I'd suggest move the 1000w light WAY WAY UP.

And Like others said you need to raise the humidity, so you would need a Dome, Maybe Clear Tupperware container, Soda Bottle, anything that will cover your plant, as long as there is something over the top, it will not lose its moisture, as long as there is moisture in the air, the plants will have all the moisture htey need.

Before they start growing and sucking up all that water you keep giving it they need roots.

yepp...and by letting them search for water..the roots stretch.
