2 400w HPS, or 1 HPS+1 MH???

Hey folks, need to get some input here. I have two 400w HPS setups, and also have a metal halide conversion. I'm currently vegging 5 plants under 1 400w MH conversion bulb. Come flowering, I'm gonna add the other light in. What I'm tryna decide is if I should go with two HPS bulbs, or if it'd be better to go with 1 of each (so 400w of MH and 400w of HPS) to get that added blue spectrum. It seems likes there's pros and cons to both, so I'm wondering if anybody's got some opinions or experience to help a brother out.

Unless you have a MH conversion bulb I am unfamiliar with it's most likely around 3200K, so it is still a full spectrum bulb, and just has a little blue to it, and TONS less blue than a 6500K MH that's normally used for vegging.

I'd most likely stick with the HPS but if I were to mix and match I would wait until about the last week of flower to see if it would pump up the resin a bit. Using MH in flower will reduce your yield but it will cause some increase in resin production, so when your buds are about full sized and just going to bulk up with resin at the end would be about the only time I would consider using the conversion MH.

This bulb I have is a 6000k spectrum MH conversion. That's an interesting suggestion. I was thinking of looking into the differing stages of flower to determine how the UV light would affect flower formation/resin production.

i use a a 250w hps-eye hortilux, a 250w cmh- philips, and a 20 uvb at flower time

i spin pots in place every day, and i rotate position under lights every week
the way i understand it mh better for veg and first third of flower(it reduces stretch)
hps best without a doubt in middle third (harden up buds)
and mh at the end of flower (to increace trichs)
now thats the way i understand things to be
i use my uvb mid flower on to increace trichs also i set it for 1 hour a day as far away from tops as poss in a 39 sq in growtent

i always experment this grow im trying fans directed under leaves upward per a hobb s reading on air floors we seem to like it its for stomas
