1st try Barney's Tangerine Dream - Hempy/Scrog method

My space is limited so im only using 250watts. Right now they are under a Feliz 250w CFL. I just received my Phillips 250watt CMH which i plan on using for the rest of the veg cycle and maybe a few weeks of flowering phase before finishing with a HPS.

I had germinated 2 seeds. I messed up early when I transferred them too deep in mini pots with perlite. The rockwool was soaking up all the water in the res. area.

Because i had overwatered them and underfed them i ended up losing 1 seedling. The other is doing really well now that i had fine tuned my PH and nutes mix. I had sniped off the single blade leaf sets since they were dying.

Temps are min 70 - max 82.
Ferts are just GH FloraNova series Grow & Bloom.
Container size = 16q tupperware i think? in 100% perlite
Germed on Jan.12. and currently feeding 4mL Floranova grow per gal. strength. Ill be slowly increasing the dosage.

Anyways i know its only been two days but im glad that im seeing growth explode.

I just fed her an extra 1ml of Floranova grow. So current mix is 5ml per gallon. Ill see how she handles it. Ill post an update in maybe 4-6 days.

I still have her under the 250watt cfl. I plan on transferring her under the CMH as soon as i do a test run on temps in my other box. So most likely in a day it will be CMH bulb for rest of vegging. Oh lighting is on a 18/6 schedule.

Well here is a updated pic. As you can see she is loving the nutes. The growth between the nodes are starting to really grow out.

Be back in a week or less.

Encountered a slight bump after last update. Plant showed a very little sign of nute burn. Last strength was 5ml Floranova grow per gallon. I may have also accidentally splashed ferts on some leaves...a few drops here and there. Runoff was over 6.5. Probably had toxic salt buildup among other things going on.

List of symptoms: 1) Slight nute burn.
2) Leaf edges were curling just a bit.
3) Few leaves showing a little metallic copper markings.

Corrective measures: 1)Flushed container with water ph 6.0. Tested until runoff was
6.0
2)Fed nutes 4ml Floranova grow per gal. strength.
3)Raised light up a few inches more.
4)Turned fan away from plant and aimed more towards
lighting.
5)Soaked some paper towels in plain water in a container and
left in box to raise Humidity a bit.

All symptoms seem to have slowed or stopped. Still monitoring. Just gotta be more careful not to splash ferts on plant during feedings also. Temps were good. So wasn't sure if some symptoms were due to wind burn, light stress, humidity.

She is looking good still and growing at a good pace. I believe the 10th major leaf sets are out and growing now. Lots of growth coming out along main stem between nodes.

Im not sure if i should start LST since ill be placing the plant under a Scrog net anyways. Any suggestions???

The seedling in the background is another Tangerine Dream or Afrodite.I kinda mixed that seed up when i was drinking

I'm still vegging under the 250w cfl due to my new CMH bulb not completly firing up.It just lights a bit near the socket end purplish looking. The place i ordered it sent out a label for me to return the item for a replacement.

So that is what a TD looks like? My beans are still soaking so I wouldn't personally know. lol... I'm in!

If you are going to scrog, top or fim the plant to start encouraging branching.

Should i top the new growth or go to the lower nodes? What node would be best?

Count down two nodes and cut. Be careful not to cut the two small growths in that V near the fan leaves. They will become your new main stems.

LOL sorry Serapis but that was funny, dont worry they will crack

Idk much about the scrog but that TD is looking mighty fine man. LSting will get you more shoots but idk if thats what's best at this time now unless you'll be vegging a tad longer to give shoots time to fll the screen etc. Im guessing.

Just popped two TD seeds myself, so I'm def along for the ride.

just pinch off the newest top set of growth and you will be good. right on the main stem.

UPDATE

Immediatly after my update I performed my first F.I.M on the plant. Not sure if i did it properly.
Here are the pics after the cut.

Because this TD is from seed, I am leaning more towards dropping the Scrog method and just growing this out while using LST. Ill be making some clones and thats when ill probably use the Scrog method. Since i now know how this thing grows, ill probably use the Uncle Bens 4 cola topping method on the clones. Next time around ill be topping much much earlier.

Screw what i said. Its Scrog or Die.
Tied down the plant from the top and secured to the holes i drilled in the side of the container. All is looking good. I plan on taking some clones from the lowest branches tonite or tomorrow.

**UPDATE in 6-7 days**

Took 4 cuttings from lowest branches for clones. Used Olivias clone solution and gel in rockwool.
