most of them are well over priced and extremly over rated, get a growtent and put your own bits n pieces in it, you can customize it to your own needs for less than half the price. and welcome to riu ;-)

dude I'm all about hydroponics.. depending on how much you want to spend the easiest and most efficient system is an ebb and flow,, one tray on a stand over a 50 - 100 gallon resevoir.. rockwool in the tray, two holes: one for the water pump to send your nutrients into the tray and another to drain back into the tub.. set your lights over the top and BOOM hydroponics.. my first setup: two thousand watt lights over two 4x8 trays with 20 plants in each over a 125 gallon resevoir with lots of miceallaneous fans and vents in between (i had a 20 foot by 15 foot dedicated room).. but i mean check the forums dude for plenty of other advice.. the more you get into it the more fun it is.. you'll find that the more precise and maticulous you are with your setup you will increase the quality of your grow.. hope this helped.. oh and for the record.. i learned a hard lesson going too big too quick.. granted i learned more than most at first i also lost more than most at first.. so be careful, have fun, and grow a ton

im a soil grower now but i first started growing in an 8pod flood and drain system, it wasnt too hard to use but by far not the easiest hydro system around, imho Nutrient Film Technique and Deep Water Culture are the easiest hydro systems to start off with, and give excellent results.

My first grow was in a DWC (deep water culture) hydro bucket. I ordered it online but when it came i realized it was just a paint bucket with net pots in the lid, a pump and a bubbler. Very easy to make. It was easy to maintain and my first grow was a success. I'm growing in soil now but the simplicity of the DWC was very nice. Just don't let your pump or bubbler fail or the roots will drown. Good luck man.

Check out the DIY forum for easy to build hydro systems.
