Hey everyone,
This is my first grow as well as my first post on this forum. The only way I was able to get this done was because of this forum and all the helpful info so thanks for that, but that aside I would really appreciate feedback since im such a newbie to this all.
Here are the specs...

Bubba Kush clone about a few weeks down the road.
In a 2 gallon pot.
Foxfarm ocean forest soil with grow big every other watering.
3 15W tube CFLs (weak i know, just for now) all within an inch from the foliage.
(All the brightness in the photos is where they are placed)
Those are on an 18/4.
Fresh airflow and good temp but no humidity control (kinda dry right now in SD:cuss:).
Water is pH tested.

I know she looks a little parched but i just watered her today.

Please please gimme feedback on this, i would really appreciate it, i want her to grow to be nice and strong for obvious reasons :bigjoint:

Oh and her name is Chloe :weed:

over all looks great bro! cant wait to see it grow!
so hears an update to all one of ya,
ive been following my usual routine i started out with and everything is going well.
today i actually bought a new 27 watt "true color" cfl that is now right above it,
and im pretty sure its gonna do wonders; i can already tell by the light its emitting.
so, so far so good!

i also threw a northern lights clone in my green house so now im going to have an indoor out door competition, and ill post some pics of that as well.
its only a wee little clone right now:leaf:

Looking good man...:leaf:

I'm growing 3 BK's myself (mothers). My tallest is 25 inches. I keep mine 18/6 under 6 23w 100w equivalent CFL's.

When you can add some FF Big Bloom (2 tablespoons) to mix with that Grow Big ( I use 1.5 tablespoons)...

Actually. Use the whole FF line...:bigjoint:

SD, try keeping that R.humidity in check bro, 50 if possible and you'll be alright.

Grab a clean towel and run it under warm water for a few seconds, get rid of some of the water and roll-it-up or fold into a square and place it near the plant under the light, and if you have a 32oz cup you don't use fill it with water and place in the area this should increase some humidity for you.

This has worked for me so far. I hope this helps you out bro.

Hey thanks for the reply!
That's awesome man, any extra info specific to bubba kush?
Have you already gone thru the process with them before?

Ya I'm definitely gonna start with the rest of the FF nutes but money is tight enough to prolong that investment (hardly even an investment).
So that will help with the humidity...? that's awesome!
I was dreading having to spend anything for a humidifier

Well hey, thanks again and keep tabs on this!
I need the help :wall:

No problem *SD*,

Mine are mother plants, I want them to bush out a little more before I clone them. I also have an HOG (Hindu OG) that I took 6 cuttings from on Halloween... so far, so good...

Get to know your plant keep temps under 80F 75F best and that RH between 50-60 see if you can buy a Thermo Meter $19 bucks at a hydro shop.

I've collected information on BK here and there, people/net.
Bubba Kush is a 'clone only strain' in California.

Indica
Indoor
56-63 days (flower)
Sweet aftertaste
Sweet, kush-like
Relaxing, great pain killer, medicinal

Low yielder but potent ... :bigjoint:

im gettin a little lighter green starting to appear on the two lower leaves,
possibly some kind of element deficiency...? i did hear that its common for the bottom leaves to fall off on clones, should i be worried?
i also wanted to clone it with the bottom leaves but now they are going down hill,
should i do it now before they possibly fall off?
and last question, is my 2 gl pot big enough? or should i trans it to something bigger?

thanks!

It is common... don't overfeed with that Ocean Forest though... you should be good without nutrients for at least 30 days from transplant. and then do half of what the bottle recommends. (I go, 1.5)

i also wanted to clone it with the bottom leaves but now they are going down hill,
should i do it now before they possibly fall off?

They're gonna fall off anyway. cut the leaves in half to reduce weight on rootless clones. (unless they are too wilted, then just let em be until the plant feels like letting it go.)

and last question, is my 2 gl pot big enough? or should i trans it to something bigger?

You're good for now. but that also depends on how big you want that plant to grow... I grew mine in 4inch Rockwool and transplanted to 3 gallon pots filled with Hydroton pellets.

Oh, yea.
Make sure your plant is at least 2 months old and mature before taking clones. this could stress/slow growth to the plant... stress = low yield...
Gotta have PATIENCE my brother....

I let mine go 10 weeks before taking cuts.

Hey dude,

so i cut the bottom leaves in half and one of them looks like its for sure coming off, but there other is good.

man its amazing how much this new true color spectrum cfl is helping,
the plant is just eating it up :-P

so i flushed it the other day just because i felt like it,
and now there is a lighter green appearing on the inside of my top leaves.
i know the BK leaves are lighter so maybe i flushed some bad stuff out,
or maybe i flushed some good stuff out (pics below).
and i didnt pH my garden hose :wall:

and also im noticing some minor deterioration on two leaves of the same branch.

Thanks for the prompt responses

UPDATE

yet again another update, even tho know one is really paying attention but hey,
this is a log so im keepin it goin until the end!

so all thats changed is i flushed it about a week ago, and the thing is just eating up the light.
its a little over a foot tall now and everything is looking real nice and healthy.
i thought i could see the roots down at the bottom of the pot, so i might get a 3 or 4 gal for it before flowering.
which brings up another question, i have no idea when to flower...
i heard that you have to wait for the the leaves to start alternating and i think they already have, but its only about a foot tall...
whatever the case, everything looks grand and im stoked for the flowering period just around the corner. :bigjoint:

Emergency!

i was away during thanksgiving and my baby grew too tall
and touched my cfl for a good amount of time.
it completely torched all the vital leaves on the top...

as the noob i am :dunce:, i know i fucked up tremendously
and i am wondering if i should just cut the shit off or let it stay.
im sure its burnt past repair but i wouldnt know.
i cant find any other people that have royally fucked it up like i have so i dont know what to do :wall:

i need some help more than ever and would greatly appreciate it if someone
could fill me in on what to do now.

cut it off it will be like topping it she'll be ok
hey thanks for the reply

i was thinking that but the only problem is is that the prime place
just above the two splitting nodes is also fried, so id be cutting it even lower
and eliminating a whole lot of new growth...
so those wilted growths are definitely doomed huh?

Damn SD, I've had to catch up man.

How is she doing now?
She's actually doin pretty well! :-o
I cut off the wilted parts and its made me focus on the side shoots which are now competing for the top so needless to say im stoked about that.
Shes about 21" now and i wanna start flowering but im stalling in hopes of
coming across a cheap 250 watt hps.
i have some daylight cfls as opposed to my true colors (/spectrum, either one)
but ive heard too much about getting airy light buds and im not down for that.
it also would be a much better investment than buying more cfls. :weed:

so other than the burning, things r going quite nice. thanks for keepin tabs!

Hey, the best thing for you to do now is to top the plant, its not to late to LST (low stress train) the plant, you will get the most yield out of this with the light you are using. Bubba kush is pretty hardy so it should recover.

check out my journal

kush medical grow
https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/279927-dwc-216w-t5-400w-hps.html
Ya i am definitely stoked that i decided on bubba kush for my first grow.
its stayed amazingly healthy thru this whole process and is still surprising me.
Ill def check it out.

so heres another update!
i got some new firepower! i came up on a 400w metal halide ballast!
although i am ready to flower (mH is not what i need), any ballast works for me and i have a 400w hps conversion bulb comin in the mail. ive heard a lot about conversion bulbs good and bad and frankly i got this thing for free so fuck it.
there was no way i was gonna flower with cfls.
so about a week ago i transplanted my baby into a bigger pot because i was sure it was filled up and it was. once i did this the thing just shot up (which was the burning part)
so i topped it and it worked awesomely because now the other shoots are fightin for the top! :weed:
i also did TONS of trimming, probably a little too much but i didnt want those fan leaves covering all the potential bud sites.
so thanks to everyone whos been keepin up, here are some pics!
