How do we look. 8 plants from bagseed, 6 5 gal buckets, 400hps with co2. 12 seeds, turned to 8 unknown plants, one I broke the stem 4 days ago. Looks like 2 males. Amy comments on plant type or any comments appreciated.

I can never tell you what strains they are its a mystery. If I was in your place I would drop them into 12/12 now because you will have a huge stretch still. It will double sometimes even triple in size when you are flowering. Maybe keep 1 as a mother plant and flower 4 plants? you don't want airy buds because that how my first grow went, even though I harvested 8 zips dried with 3 plants under a 400w.

Looks good & healthy. When do you plan on switching them to 12/12?
I want to get 2-3 clones each plant. What do you think, clone once this week, once next week, veg 2 more weeks and then switch?? Why do folks switch so early, these lookike they could beg for another month. My space is small, 3x4x8. What do you think?

That's my concern is the small space with monster plants fighting for light which at the end you get airy buds, nothing dense ... I grow in DWC and when my clones are rooted I only veg for 2 weeks and drop them into 12/12. If I was in your shoes I would take my clones now then let them veg for another week so they can heal and not be stunned.

Sounds like there is no benefit then for me to veg any longer then. I'm gonna clone them in two days, veg for 1 more week then switch over. I'm gullible and usually take first recommenddations. Thanks for the advice.

Fwiw, plants were started from seed in a starter tray with no dome, just Walmart reversed water and 400hps turned down to 250. Put 8 seedlings in six 5 gal buckets about 6 days after day 1. Slowly started to add co2 for 1st few days in buckets, went full time with co2 about 3 days into bucket, last plant to germinate has struggled with it a little. They have had about 17 gallons of water since day one with 10 gallons of that having batcrap nutrients. I'm using natural spring water and ocean forest soil. Two plants had small n and mag problems but fixed with food and epsom salt. Some fan leaves have been removed. They get 40-50 ounces of water/feed each bucket every 2-3 days depending need. I want to get some clomes from each plant, give em some time to heal and then switch to 12/12. Hoping for girls and healthy flowered!! Who knew how much fun this would be!! I don't have any idea what my ph is but water looks good so far.

I can already see the lush discoloration you got there. how long before you have moss growing on the top of those nice transparent cups you got there? tisk* tisk*
When you clone take no more then half the plant unless your gonna just chop it up to death then you could make two clones out of one branch plus top the plant so if you got 5 cuttings on each plant you could possibly get 11. just saying.

I'd get me a detail brush and paint them buckets black if I were you.

Never even thought about the buckets getting moss. My rh stays 40-60 so no problems yet but gonna get em painted this weekend. Thanks for the tip. Wish I could tell indica from sativa. 5 plants are short and bushy, 6-10 inches but as wide as they are tall, two plants are 15 inches with long internodes, thinking male, and one I accidently broke but looks great with 6 solid branches below the break, they have doubled the last couple of days since the break. My best plant supposedly came from a bag of p erkle, hoping to make her a mother. They are loving the spring water when they get it.

Put 12 in and 29 days later my 1st time I've got 6 left. Just chopped two down I suspected to be tall stretchy males. They were also each sharing a pot and 6 inches taller than my three perfect bushes! I think ill end up with 5 females and three of them being top shelf medication!! Here's a pic of mini-me. She was a week behind the others getting into her bucket but is only 3 inches behind. Her leaves have always had these spotches, but check out the top of her stem as it has split and is producing multiple top stems if that makes sense...

Whatcha think??

I didn't see anybody mention it, but I would separate them so only one per pot before they get any older if it was me.........
May prevent lots of headaches later on down the road.

I went ahead and chopped down the two long stretchy plants on the right side. They were tall and their node development was far and few between. I decided to take a chance as 4 plants are short and bushy and doing great!! I needed some space anyway, this is my first time and figured these six with clones will get me on my way to a perpetual grow!!

Stretchy plants do not mean males .Sativa grows taller than indica .Indica is normaly bushy and has fat leaves.Sativa has longer and skinnier leaves. You should take clones after you know the sex.I made that mistake and found males after I cloned threw them all out and started over.I didn't label them, now I know.Seeds from the same female can grow differently , short , tall, slow, fast. etc, so just love em and watch. Nice grow!

I'm gonna take clones before I sex these six. From what I've read u need to clone during veg and sex about a week into flower. Gonna start clones thurs, day 33 from seed. I cut the two stretched plants because they don't fit my space and I may have been wrong but pretty sure they were bagseed males and had no business being in a bush garden.
