1st Grow

Haha. this is a cheap grow box but hey i found all the supplys around my house suggestions would be helpful










i am using a 5x5 Fan that i found in a computer which is running off a 9v battery =/ it does use a lot of batter anyone know a better way i could run this fan? and also useing 3 2700k Cfl's

Buy a cheap electric fan, I bought a brand new 18 inch high velocity fan on ebay for about $34, just have a browse around

the containers have to drain and find something other than tin foil for ref. it supposed to cause hot spots clear containers are bad for the roots they don't like light

Thanks for the quick responces. i will try the cell phone charger for fan but does it matter which wires i connect to which on the charger? what else could i find around my house besides tenfoil? , I will eventull take them out of the clear boxes thats just what sprouted them in

look at getting away from the cardboard ...flat white paint reflects well i don't think it matters on the charger make sure you have electrical tape at least be careful

fire hazard and its just not all that sturdy

Oh true Thanks ! Well i got the cell phone charger idea to work thanks man! one more question if you could. When my plants start flowering How will i know and when they start vegging how will i know?

go into the grow FAQ section and spend some time reading that's how i got started ...your in veg right now and will say in as long as the light cycle is ok,grow according to the room you have then switch lighting to trigger flower its all in the grow FAQ and so much more check it out then then post if it helped or not really want to know thanks ...rob

Urgent!!!!!!!! Get rid of the cardboard there is cheap materials out there even free that are way better than cardboard boxes i would hate to see u lose more than your plants because of a fire and its not a matter of could it burn but a matter of when it will burn down we just want to see you succeed safely! good luck

I've been using foam board insulation. You can buy a 4'x8' sheet from Home depot for about $12, cut it with a razor blade, and either glue it together or make a wooden frame. It even has a reflective side, not the best, but reflective nonetheless.

Well u want 6000 for veg and 3500 for flowering

is this a better container?

your going to make a terrarium in that thing, moisture needs to evaporate. If your going to do a mini squirrel cage with the cpu fans you might be good cause heat will be an issue too. Are you growing straw. cough? i got some of those too i'm about to flower, my first time too.

haha yeah i got some straw berry cough seeds =D so the container is cool?

Its small but its far better than cardboard i would look thru this site and see what may be a better box mini grow ull be able to see start to finish and it will take the guess work out of your grow. Learn from their mistakes and success' you know what i mean?
