Another case???
What on earth do you do with all the internals ER? :)

I hung my last 2 harvests and left all the non crusty fan leaves on for 1 of them. That cure looks average but is very good flavour. Potency always seems to take a big improvement after 21 days in my experience too, so hang on to some if you can.

I dug out a pic of Pandora just after I harvested so you can see what I left on:

Hah! The internals of a 486 only belong in one place.. the trash! Also, I have tons of internals laying around ready for sale. Sometimes, I get a wild hair up my ass and Ebay them. :)

Regarding hanging onto it, I've got no trouble with that at all. I've been nursing that oz. of Sour Diesel since I tried cloning that nugget months ago. I've still got about 1/4 oz., amazingly enough. I keep my shit in the freezer, so it lasts forEVER! I'd imaging with a pc case drying it, I should be dry in 3-5 days? That how long your shoebox takes, V? Curing, I'll transfer stuff to the freezer after maybe a month or so of jar-curing in the dark. Maybe, just to fuck with you, I'll put up a pc case for curing, too! ;) Of course, I won't need to plug it in or anything.

Thanks for the pic of Pandora. I will definitely have a shit-ton of that kind of veg. on Jenna. God only knows what's under Beatrice, though. I plan on pulling her out of the cup and de-dirting the rootball to use the stem as a manicuring handle. If there's something left over, I'll clip back the rootball a bit, new dirt and give her a whirl. I think with a bit more veg and topping, that plant could be really awesome. :)

Agreed. 486=junk :)
The dryer takes 2 days with the fan on 5v or 5-6 days with no fan. It still has some moisture so it's good to go into the jar after that.

I'm quite excited about the revegging thing too. I think some of our plants could really kick ass with a bit more maturity under their belts.

100% agreed. Your LST skills are top notch, so there's no reason to not give it a shot. It'll be tedious, at worst.

Flower Tower:
Beatrice: 81 days, 12/12 60 days, flowering 43 days
Jenna: 12/12 from seed, 58 days, flowering 26 days
Christy: 12/12 from seed, 58 days, flowering 19 days.

Veg. Box:
Citral #1: 18/6 or 24/0, 81 days
Twilight #1: 18/6, 24 days
Passion #1 #1: 18/6, 22 days
Nikki: Zenbud rooted clone, 19 days

I needed to do the math on this, as I'm pretty certain Beatrice is ready as hell. The last 5 days of flushing, she's gone DARK purple.. lots of leaves are crinkling up and all of her hairs are amber-orange.

So.. should I chop her at 44 days w/ only 5 days flushing? This strain is a 'fast finisher' and supposed 6 week strain. She looks beat as hell, to me. I should get a shot.

Nugg..

And from a bit back.

Opinions? Day 44 would be kind of fitting, since that's what she's named for.. "44.. tops!'

holy crap you still have some of that sour diesel left... ive smoked hundreds of dollars of bud since then.

i think she looks ready to chop. u got anyway to look at the trics?

She looks ready to me too. No new white growth anywhere is the clincher.
You will hate the product if it tastes of nutes though ER, so after all the effort you put in I think you should keep her for another 5 days if possible.

If you really cant wait leave the lights on her off for 48hours before you cut that will help sap some of the nutes out of the bud and into the roots.

Hah.. I offloaded an 1/8, too! Life has taken an interesting turn and I'm not able to smoke as often as I used to until early next year, so, yeah.. I still have the Diesel. I'll be able to string it along until the Top44 is cured out, easily. Regarding seeing the trichs, they're cloudy.. not amber.

V12.. I agree on the taste thing. I will try to let her go a bit. I'm just worried about that leaf crisping business harming the bud matter. The bud leaves are majorly effected already.. darkening, crisping, leathering. Was your Passion #1 nugplant like that, as well? I remember pics of it all crispy looking and hunched.

I can wait, for sure. Just not sure about her. :) Thanks for looking in Drgreenz. I think I may try the 48 hours thing, no matter what day I harvest, as I've heard that extended dark can draw out some of the last nutes, too. I will do my best to go another 5 days.

Damnit, I'm excited! It feels like the first day I saw this plant pop its head above the soil again.

HAHAHA!! Thanks for the constructive input, bro! Smoking that entire nug would require a 4 foot hookah with a cereal bowl sized bowl piece. I have mammoth hands and that thing is as long as my hand is. It's got nug below the lip, even.. right down to the dirt, almost.

Even still, something's telling me I'm maxed at 10g. I'll be happy w/ a 1/4, really. It's a first attempt.. and I have so many more seeds.

thats gonna be some killer smoke if u let it go 5 more days.. u should have lots of amber trics by then.

then again the longer u wait the more your gonna lose to crispyness. my last 2 small plants got like that too.

Hey ER.
The Passion did get a little crispy. Luckily the shade leaves took one for the team so the buds were unaffected. Is there any way you could raise the humidity for the last few days? Maybe that will help.

Sorry ER. Didn't realise it was quite so high. I'd probably stick with 60%.
Maybe just drop it down an inch or 2 further from the lights to minimise the heat?
Good luck fella.

ER, just followed your link here :-) going to take time to read through from the start later, I love these PC case grows, v12JXS' case grow amazed me with its ingenuity and I see the same going on here. That bud looks nicely done to me too, but I have experimented in the past and left 'ready' buds for another 3 weeks until they ripen right off and turn fully amber, the calyx's (sp?) really swell up the longer you leave them. I have never understood this theory about THC degrading beyond that 'optimum ready' point.......... take a 9 week strain to 11or 12 weeks and it will pin anyone even the most hardened toker to the chair :-) So, another 5 days is good!

I'll take my time to read through properly later ER.

So today is the day for Beatrice. She went the extra 5 days (10, total) and the last 2 have been in a dark closet. She's hurtin' really hard. So.. I will try to take as many pictures tonight as possible. Since she's got nugget down to the dirt, I think I will pull everything out of the cup at once, gently remove as much as possible from the rootball and cut out the bud. I'm going to try my hardest to leave some vegetative matter on there, but I cannot see any branches, so it may not work out too well. Why re-veg this tiny plant? Last week, I read a grow report of Top44 and the grower said he found 2 phenotypes out of 20-some plants: shrub and single-nug. One of his single nugs went outside and he got a single 2 lb. bud, reportedly. Again, this strain is bred for commercial.. it's all about weight with Top44. Since I know Beatrice's phenotype, I'd like to pop her outside and see what a truly massive single nug plant looks like. Hopefully, I'll have a better update tonight with pictures.
The other girls are looking awesome. I think the Citral girl is going to burn again, as I gave her a tiny splash of P and her leaves started changing color. Looks like this plant can just do water. Bummer. She smells really nice, though. Very hard to describe, but kind of spicy and hashy. Her top cola and the satellites are fattening a bit already, though, and I think this plant, even with the burns, will outweigh Beatrice, when done. Bag1 is fucking massive and can't seem to get enough water ever.
The veg. chamber got a MAJOR haircut last night. All of them were near the lights, so I trimmed every top down to the last 2 nodes on it. That makes 8 tops for big citral, 2 tops for Passion #1, 4 tops for Twilight and a shit-ton of tops for the Zenbud clone. Too many to count, really. That plant is going to be really cool when it flowers. There were no clone attempts at all. I just tossed the vegetation into drying containers that I've been using and put all of my dried material in plastic. I should have some pretty bad-ass cannabutter, once I've got a Z of dried veg., stems, stalks and leaves have worked great for that in the past. This time, it'll be my own, though! How awesome. :)

More to come this evening..

Well.. Sorry I couldn't update last night. It was a very tough, weird, day. Also, when I went to harvest, I found that my camera had been left on and was out of batteries. There was no way in hell that I wasn't harvesting, so no pics of the harvest itself, but I will get pics of the nugs asap. I do, however, have the final results for wet.

So, I have 2 different ceramic bowls that I've been using for leaf drying, so I appropriated the smaller of the 2 for fine trimmings. I used pruning shears for the chop and for the fine trimming. So, there were 2 ways to go about this.. I could have easily cut the entire thing off at the stalk and called it a day. We've all seen that. Instead, I opted to dig through the nugget and clip out the stalk and stems so that I could re-veg. it. Of course, that loses 'sale' weight, but I'm not selling. :) I removed the plant from the cup, tore the bottom half of the dirt off and knocked a lot more dirt off the to get the rootball down to a smaller size and started clipping. I put the trimmings in the one ceramic bowl, the few leaves in another ceramic bowl and the nugs on a plate. I left a couple of tiny (not a bowlpack, together) "nugs" at the bottom of the stalk that looked like the only possible vegetation left and after that, I did my cup in a cup idea, with the inner cup having no bottom. I filled a bit of that with Miracle Grow (non-organic) potting soil and dropped the rootball in, then topping off and wetting it. After that, I dropped her into the veg. case and I'm filled with hope for her.

So.. you guys don't care about that. Everyone wants to know weight, right? Well.. not too thrilling, but I already knew it wouldn't be. One thing to note before I disclose that is that I put her in the dark in a closet that is really dry, so she actually dried quite a bit on the stalk. I won't do that again. So.. 7.4 G barely wet and 1.3 G fine trimmings, which I will dry and cure for hash later. I left the nugs on the plate out to dry and will flip them over a few times between now and Saturday. On Saturday, I will jar them for curing and they will sit there until I'm back from my vacation. Of course, you'll have dry weight and pics on Saturday, which should close this thread out.
