I have 2 plants in a small box right now as well that is having cooling issues. I have been brainstorming what to do about it and I kinda feel like the same thing is going to happen to me once my plants get bigger. I'm starting to think about just ditching the box now and setting up the closet instead. I'm thinking it might be cool to try out an led panel too. I'll have to decide what to do but definitely hope my plants grow that strong.

I'm loving the space the closet gives me, but I'll be honest, I probably could have gotten a top of the line tent for half as much as I spent getting the closet dialed in. I had some weird dimensions to deal with so a bigger tent never really was an option for me. I found industrial strength velcro is your best friend when it comes to sealing up your entry to make it light proof.

As for cooling, keeping an active exhaust up high is an absolute necesity.

How much did you spend prepping the closet? Is there anything involved besides light, ventilation, and poly across the door?

My closet doors are the accordian fold type, so I had four panels to deal with. Besides the panda film, I dropped about 100 on the industrial velcro, its $30 a package at home depot, but strong as hell. Originally I thought Id glue the panda to tarps for the doorways, giving me a thicker barrier to help with light and odor control. Turned out not to be necessary, which is good, because it also wasn't very flexible and too heavy for the adhesive I used to hang it. So there was another $45 wasted.

Then another $50-75 for various hangers to rig my light and carbin filter. And another 20-30 on passive venting covers to allow fresh air in.

Better planning would definitely have helped lower the cost. But if stealth and dimensions weren't a concern I would have definitely been better off with a tent.

Still, I like growijg my own herb in my own custom built space. Definitely suits the MacGuyver in me.

I definitely know what you mean about planning. No matter how hard I try and plan stuff like that I always end up screwing it up and spending twice as much as I needed to. My closet has those same type of 4 panel accordion doors that you described which is what I figured would be the biggest obstacle as fas as light and smell proofing. Did you secure the panda film across the door with Velcro? I was thinking Velcro for around the door frame and put a zipper in the middle of it or something, then just paint the rest of the closet. Also I have a shelf in there that I would hang my light from. Vent would just be a hole up through the ceiling into the attic with an inline fan. The other thing is that the floor is all carpet so I would have to put something down on the floor like a tarp.

I just put a piece of panda across the floor. It's pretty thick stuff. I'm using smart pots and tiny suacers underneath and havent had any issues.

Light proofing the door has been an ongoing battle. I velcroed the border and attached the panda, and put two zippers in to give me a roll up panel. The red lines in post 18 are the zippers. Problem is the zipper fabric isn't light proof. I ended up hanging a 3x5 piece of black felt that I bought for 5 bucks at a craft store. Seems to have done the trick.

Mine setup got complicated because its in a basement closet that I a to subdivide. The closet is 6.5' high, 2.2' deep, and 11' long. I hung panda to make a dividing wall, and put passibe air intake, my electrical wire exits, and my inline ducting through that panda panel. Sealing up those exit points was pretty much an exercise in duct tape. For the passive aor intake I boutght a cheap 12x12" air filter, wrapped it in no-seeum netting, and place a flap of panda in front of it attached only at the top.

I ended up buying a lot of stuff I didn't end up using, but I went through a lot of trial and error. Thankfully the grow itself it super simple! Water, Jack's Classic, soil and light.

Awesome pics man. How many days are you into flowering? It looks like some of your leaves are brown. Is there a reason for it like not burn or your lights? Or is it just the plant at the end of its life cycle?

I'm about 3 weeks flowering plus or minus a couple of days (23/25ish days), 5 weeks to the day since the 12/12 flip.

The brown leaves are from a coupld of specific reasons. First, as I quickly outgrew my vertical room in the original tent, the OGK and Thai Fantasy Auto were hitting up against the light.

Then there's the White Widow. I think she's running a Calcium deficiency, so I've upped my recent CalMag doses when I water. Hopefully that put's it in check.

That's here:

Yeah that's the one I saw in the pic that didn't look to good. Is cal mag something else you are supplementing along with nutes? I thought your nute solution was like an all around everything included. Jacks classic right?

Jack's doesn't contain Calcium or Magnesium, so I bought this: http://www.amazon.com/Botanicare-Plant-Nutrient-Supplement-1-Quart/dp/B004JKBMRW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1381088870&sr=8-1&keywords=cal/mag

It should last me several grows. I've been pretty stingy with nutes throughout the grow from fear of committing newbie sin #2, overfeeding and burning (sin #1 being overwatering). That said, the WW started showing this about 8 days ago, so it's probably just a sign that she needs a more aggressive feeding schedule next time around.

Makes sense. I'm sure it will take a grow or two to really get comfortable with how much water and nutes the plants need. Your almost done anyway and I'm sure the WW will still smoke great.

Hey bro, here's the ladies as of last night, they're probably at about week 4 of flower, give or take a couple of days.

Notice the girl in the lower right of the first pic? That's my white widow, I think she suffered a sever double-whammy of light burn and calmag deficiency. I've upped her CalMag dose and have her better situated with the light since moving to the closet, but those brown fan leaves kill me. Couple of minor leaf problems with the other girls, but nothing close to what the WW is suffering. Her buds still look mighty nice, so hopefully I didn't hurt her too bad.
