If your using nutrients keep it organic. Less chance of nutrient burn. I currently have a 150 watt hps going on my plants. They are doing pretty good, but just battled a potassium deficiency from the really low humidity, so still have a few yellow fan leaves. I can't see if you have a cabinet or not, but maybe just take it easy on your first grow. I don't think you need to be buying any 400 watt system. People have great grows on this forum with just 150 HPS. Good Luck with everything though. I understand it's stressful having a stealth grow, and especially for a first time grower. I'm in the same boat with you on that one, but let us not forget what it's all for!
i have the fox farm trio when do you think i should start using them.would the 150 be enough to grow my violator kush and mazar kush. and yes i can not stop thinking about harvest time but at the same time i hope it wont stink up my whole house
what nutes are you using and why do you have a bowl of water in you caninet i think im going to start using book to lift my plants it take to long to lower the light
i was thinking about the bananna peel thing but im scared of drawing bugs into my soil i might do the ice thing because i think my ac is going to run up my billJust basic stuff at my local gardening store. Currently just put some organic fertilizer 5-5-5, a little bit of blood meal in the begininng....but I added that fertilizer after I noticed a major potassium deficiency, I didn't even wanna really add anything. My space is just too dry though, and it dehydrates the plant fast, but now most of the new growth seems to be going nicely. I also use a foliar spray 6-11-5, like a few milliters of that in a gallon, its all organic too, just smells like rotting pussy lol. I also added some chopped up banana peels, I figure that's not gonna kill anything either. I might add some bone meal pretty soon, since I'm in flowering now.
I actually took the red fan out of there. The bowl of water is there to raise humidity, because my humidity is that low in there, I'm talking like teens. Also if you get cold water, and put that right in front of your intake blowing on the bowl, the water stays cool. The intake also has an ice gallon and a few ice packs infront of the intake. It blows in the cabinet with that cool air and seems to keep that bowl of water cool for a long time. This greatly helped my temperatures, last night I checked them, the lights were on for 3 hours, I opened the box to see 79 F!!
