1st Grow: All Autoflower 600w 12 Site Stealth Hydro Bubbleponics

High everyone and thanks for checking out my journal. Real quick run down, I am in the middle of my 1st grow. I havnt updated in a while but now that i found a site with a respectible and HELPFUL community i look forward to hearing yalls advice

im just going to copy what i had already written down and update every day or 2 from here on out. (if possible). So please keep in mind the first few posts are old so some of the problems i had aren't relevant right meow, but *HELPFUL* advice is always welcome. This has been a giant learning experience for me.

My girls are from attitude and all autoflowers.
5 LA Diva
5 AK48
2 Blue Hymalayan Deisel.

I was most exited for the BHD but only 2 of them popped =(

SET UP:
4x4x6.5 Tent
600w HPS sealed hood.
12 site Bubbleponic system from stealth hydro with 2 reservoirs
4" carbon filter inline fan. (Exhaust)
6" inline duct booster (Exhaust)
2 fans to move air around.

NUTES:
Biothrive GROW 4-3-3
Biothrive BLOOM 2-4-4
Superthrive, its just a nute booster, not going to lie i was high in Lowes and the advertisement got me. I figure if they take to the other food well it wouldn't hurt to add it.
I have the nutes that came stealthhydro but im not sure if im going to use them yet.

So i germed 12 seeds on 4/7 and I just assumed they would all pop. on 4/9 only 9 did so i dropped 3 more in rockwool and they all grew. They are all just getting out of the rockwool and the leaves look like they are curling a little. Not sure whats going on, if it keeps looking funny ill get some better pics up for help . Im going to give it water for the next week then start it on 1/3 nutes. the PH from tap is just under 6 id say 5.8-5.9 so i leave it out to get room temp (the faucet i use only has hot water -_-). The tent is a little over 80 and im working on bringing down the temp. Im leaving the front end open with the 2 fans pulling cooler air in. I also raised my light and put one of the fans blowing towards it.

Since this is my 1st grow im not really sure what i should be putting in my journal, but if i missed anything please feel free to let me know

Quick update. All 12 have their 1st set of leaves and about 10 have their 2nd up top. The only problem I'm finding is the temp in the sealed tent wants to be around 85-90. I'm opening the tent and blowing some cooler air in but it stays around 80. I'm going to run some ducting from the ac to the tent, should cool it off. Also they are poking up a little funny. One leaf will be touching the stem.. idk I'm going to wait a week before deciding wassup. The color in all look like a healthy green, ill post up a pic of them.

Fist pic is the girl that shot up 1st, had a great root to start and looks like she will be my powerhouse.

Second is the weird leaf. The color looks fine, just growing a little odd

Ok so the leafs were freaking me out. The only problem I could think of was light burn. So for the next few days I'm going to run it with some cfl and see if they perk up. What is the best temp for water? I figured that would be the only other problem. Thanks




Ok so they were too little for my hid light, and the house lamps have been doing great the past few days. today is the end of week 1 so I changed the water and added 1/3rd strength nutes. Next week its 2/3 if all goes well. So far they all look good, one of the AK was abused so I been nursing her back but she's lookin great.

Anyone know when its best to turn on the hps light? Its too strong now but when can the girls take that much light and not complaine?



Well the temp with the hps on is over 80 so I need to keep that down. I'm going to run the ac vent right to the top of the tent to keep it down in there, I'm on my way to lowes now to get the ducting. Also just picked up a co2 generator, ill have ppm up by tonight.




Ok, so I ran ducting from the vent to the top of the tent. Its ghetto rigged but its working. I'm leaving the vent closed tonight with 600w on and ac on to see what the temp is like. I also bought a co2 bucket. It says it lasts for 3 months so that's perfect timing. The ppm was around 500 but I'm hoping to get it up around 11 or 1200. I also included some pics of the LA diva, I would of taken more but I'm getting ready for the festivities

other posts were me bitching about noob problems

ok so now this is where i plan on updating and going forward.

What I've learned:
-Autos HATE nutes for veg. If i run autos again i will NOT give nutes until late in week 2 or week 3. I stunded most of the girls with this #1 noob mistake trying to do too much.
-More bubbles the better, i gave damn near all my girls root rot before i realized there just wasn't enough air in the water. I got a 2nd 14" airstone and petco airpump for each rubbermaid. New root growth is amazing, it just sucks looking at the contrast in the new roots to the shitty old ones.
-Hydro is very space consuming, im thinking of doing soil for next run but keeping mothers in hydro in the mother/clone/ veg room.
-Ducting is not my forte so proper ventalation will be taking up some of my time before next run.


Im sure i missed a bunch of shit but ill remeber eventually? :smoke:

Ok well I changed water and cleaned out buckets yesterday. The girls will be 6 weeks next Tuesday so not much longer till harvest. I can't believe how bad I allowed the roots to get. I have never tried growing anything before, so when the yellowish brown tint started I should have taken care of that asap but now the new root growth is exploding but root rot killed 1 of the girls and I'm fighting with another to helper our out.


This is frustrating but I don't think I can let this problem happen twice so I guess lesson learned.

The AK48 is very resiliant. I wish I could say the same of the other girls.

I have them 2/3rd of nutes and they seem to like it. They buds are looking nice as hell on the healthy girls!

here is the biggest girl. shes an AK48 and a little over a 12". shes the only one that really thrived after all my fuck ups lol.

Tomarrow i change water and clean everything out. The girls will be 6 weeks. Ill take some shots of them while im cleaning a bit. one of the girls is catching up for the monster of the pack. the new root growth is going crazy! and even though there is a bunch of old roots that are rotted, the new ones dont even seem to care. they are white and popping out everywhere.

Hey sorry about the lack of updates. Good luck green! I got mine from stelth hydro. I'm going to build my own system on the next go around with 5 gal buckets. If you got a pre set up system they most likly tried to cut cost and skimped on the bubbles so id recommend going to the pet store and getting an extra airpump and airstone for each bucket. That really fucked up my roots at first until I got the airstones. Also so really light on nutes until you see how the girls like em. I'm learning so much this run and can't wait for my next go.

However they turned 7 weeks yesterday and the ak's are really filling out! The tallest are over a foot tall and have fat colas and 4 main branches that will be mini colas =). All the la diva are stunted so they are really small but have frosty buds lol. One of them died but is showing new healthy roots so idk? Ill post some pics up later when I get home. Its crazy seeing this process. This is the first time I've tried to grow anything lol.. I should be cutting them in 2ish weeks.

Ok so the difference is very apparent lmao. But the big girls are the ak's and the runts are the la diva.

ssssoooo i turned off the lights today and i am cutting in 3 days! Im having my friend bring her camera over so i can get some bud porn up also i put some ice in the water so i can smoke some color. this journal was tough to keep up with because im using a friends laptop, but next grow should be better documented

nice bro, just wondering how do you think that bio thrive and bloom work with hydro? I talked to representative at local hydrostore from General Hydroponics- He told me straight up that those nutes suck for hydro. They cause major res problems such as big ph fluxations. This is what he says but im not sure the case for you. From what I know those nutes your using are really meant for soil
