hey new to the site, im a first timer. Just wanted to get some input on Fox Farm Products. I just got my hands on 4 clones of Afgooey a couple of days ago and immediately put them under flourecents 20/4, i hope thats ok. should i be 24/0? or 18/6? well i also bought FF ocean forest soil and mixed with a little bit of playing/building sand, extra perlite and myocorrhizae granules. also purchased the FF grow big, tiger bloom, and big bloom. Has anyone use these yet? and is the FF opensesame, beastie bloom, and Cha-ching necessary to add with the nutes. im thinkin of purchasing those to. please give me some input. im goin to open a journal as soon as get pics. Thanks:joint:

so far its week 3 and my babies got up6 inches so topped them off and cleaned them up. i used the cuttings and started 3 new clones. im off to the hydro store to purchase a 400watt metal halide because i have them under a hps 150. im gonna grow them another two weeks to get more clones and then throw them under the 1000w hps to flower. hopefully by then i will have 8-10 clones of the afgooey and 4 clones of another strain from my friend. he is bringin them over on wednsday..

Off to a good start so far, Shaznul. Fox Farm makes good products. I use the Ocean Forest soil and the only nutes I ever give them are FF nutes for veg and flower with fantastic results. I know FF is the preferred choice of nutes for most growers on here. Also for veg you either should do 18/6 or 24, whichever you like. And I've never grown with a mh but the consesus on here seems to be mh is good for flowering but bad for veg. Hope this helps:blsmoke:

I have read a lot but only 4 weeks into my first project. I think you have it wrong on the lighting. Optimal lighting would be mh for veg and hps for flowering. I'm no expert but that is what I have read.

I was wondering if anyone knows if i should mix dolimite lime and well as perite to the fox farm ocean forest soil? I dont know if the lime will effect the nutes that already have been put in the soil.
