Im on day 33 from germ, plants are about 4-5 inches tall. all of my leaves are slowly turning yellow from the center of the leaf. also all leaves that are yellowing are very dry and will crumble if bent. i will try to get some pics up tomorrow. i just started full strength nutes a little over a week ago, started at 1/4th and every week did 1/4th stronger. im growing under 6 4ft florecent t5 grow spectrum(about to buy mh/hps when taxes get here :) ) im a medical card holder looking for some advice on my 1st non soil grow

pics would help what type of nutes are you using. what temp/humidity/rh is your grow area . need some more info

my temps are almost always solid 75
humidity 35%
ph stays between 5.9 and 6.3 (usually increases a little a day)

nutes are Super nutes SVA and SVB

I think they might be a little too small yet to be feeding them full nutes. DWC can be a tricky set up and takes time to adjust. I usually grow mine for another week, and then switch them into flower and start feeding them nutrients.. I just nute locked my plants in week 6 of flower due to too much nutrients building up in my tank. Ended up losing about an ounce, but all is not lost.. Do you have solid root structures hanging through the net pots? Could also be due to overwatering if the water level is pretty high up on the net pots.

i never thought of the water being too high? its about 1-2 inches below the baskets, roots look great though very long. seems to be growing way better on the other side of the light haha

plants are getting a fresh batch of water and nutes right now. plants grew over night quite a bit almost a full inch. leaves are still looking about the same. i was thinking it was a nitrogen deficiency at first. but im not so sure. they get a fresh batch of water and nutes every friday. im using 10g tubs, i had 18 gallon tubs and that seemed like over kill and a lot of work swapping water. im only growing them to about 3 1/2 ft, 4ft tops. ill put more pics up when the water is swapped

this is starting to turn into a journal i guess lol 2 days after the nute and water change they have grown 2 inches and are looking better. the lower leaves that were damaged are not recovering myabe they will fall off and be ok.

ph is now at 5.5 but that is the only change from a 6.0

It looks like you're getting a rapid recovery. Some of those leaves may have been too damaged to come back to life and may fall off like randr said.

btw...You haven't shown us the roots yet. Are they healthy?

Yeah DWC is tricky. I usually start no nutes 2 wks, 1/4 strength veg nutes 2wks, 1/2 strength veg nutes for 2wks, then 1/2 strength flower nutes for 2wks, then full strength until 2 wks before harvest, 1/2 strength flower nutes with some extra sugars for the second to last week of flowering, then flush for a week. This is just a base approximation. The strains will tell you exactly what they need. Nice to see that your ladies are recovering. Good luck with the grow.

things seem to be looking better, pull the plastic from around the rockwool your choking it, roots want to shoot out the sides but they cant, if left on algea will form on them

Those don't look "too" bad at all. Number one rule I keep telling myself - DON'T STRESS. Mine had similar looking leaves at that stage. I agree with the others - just based on my 1st grow - still in progress - you may have turned up the nutes a little fast. Don't expect the bad leaves to recover - just keep your eye on the new leaves - they seem to be digging it so far. If the new leaves don't yellow, you might be ok at your current nute level, otherwise maybe dial it back a notch. Again, they don't look all that bad, ,and the fact that the new growth is looking good so far is a great sign. You will be pruning the bad leaves pretty soon anyway.

And at the risk of being captain obvious - GRADUAL changes - I never swing pH more than .5, or ppms more than 200, during any res maintenance or change. Sounds like you are doing everything OK.

things look to be coming back around.. im glad i used bag seed for my 1st grow, ive got some white russian, blue widow and super lemon haze in the on deck circle(as long as im comfortable after this grow)

anyway the plants seem to be growing about an inch or two every 2 days. tomorrow.. err today ( its 1am) is another res change ive got the water already to go. ph is at 5.8 in that water now with nutes in it... im going to gradually bring it back to 6.0 as suggested. i change the water every friday, i also removed the plastic from the rockwool. thank you i wasnt sure about that

tomorrow i pick up my hps :)

Randr very nice plants. The best PH for your plants to absorb nitrogen at is between 5.8 and 6. 5.5 is too low and 6.3 is too high for veg. Seems like your plant spacing in your medium is a little close,i'd recommend using 4 plants max per tub that size, and bigger mediums give better support. With DWC i've done it all. And get a tall growing strain for your next bach because short bushy plants will outgrow your situation. As for those old beginner burned leaves thats nothing,as long as their is rapid new growth your safe. Very nice project though. Stay up Oregon, the chronic state. Dont leagalize marijuana it's fine the way it is now for patients who need it. Smoke joints.
