1st attempt at Rosin = fail ,why?

I bought an adjustable heat flat iron for hair straightening and it has ceramic pads i stead of metal and they claim it does up to 450 degrees.

Im using top line parch paper and pretty good bud I grew. I tried some that was really over dry, some cured, sum wet right off the tree and only the one i did off the tree produced any rosin but not even close enough to take a dab.

Ive tried the highest heat setting and it burns weed making lots smoke. Lowest setting does nothing seemingly and anywhere inbetween same results either burns too hot or no results

Ive watched several vids this is not suppised be complicated so wtf is problem here?

About 220 degrees and stand on it for 6-10 seconds... that's how I roll.

Btw, be careful standing on it, I've cracked the heating plates on mine (but it's still working.) I weigh 200lbs.

It's only works with oily frosty strains. You are running it way too hot. Drop the temp. Flower rosin press at 300 degrees. And hash /kief / dry sift / bubble rosin press at 221-230 degrees

Doing it with buds is a pain. You won't get anywhere near a dab in one press. It's alot of work.

Imo the guys getting nice results via heat press use bubble or keif.

I press flower every day and get 15 to 20% returns every time, try a different strain

I wouldn't use your current method then.

Here's some rosin I made yesterday.

Yeah if you have multiple strains try them all. Some yield great, some essentially nothing. You really need to apply pressure. I lean on mine, some stand, some use a vice, vice grips, jacks. Anything to apply pressure and you need plenty of pressure.
