I haven't caught a salmon yet 
Last memorial day weekend I went out for them but after 3 hours of nothing we switch to rock
Pretty stoked for this trip.
Renting a pole-gear is no problem?

I've never caught a salmon either. just about every other fish around here just haven't gone after salmon yet.

I have at least one extra setup I can bring, maybe 2. I'll put some new line on it. I don't have any salmon tackle though...

I have one extra complete setup and an extra rod if some has a reel.
Yea , I probably have some extra outfits and if the kid comes will have a few more. Only thing is they have new 30 and 40# on them so if 25# is the ticket I really don't want to dump a bunch of new line.
