yo, im wanting to try get 1g per watt from my next grow. i have a room that is 3ft x 3.5ft with 600W duel spec.

so there is a few ways i can do this, either 21 plants at 1 ounce each - 14 plants at 1.5 ounce each and 10 plants at 2 ounce each. . .

i am wanting to use hempy buckets, unless someone advises otherwise.

now in my head 10 plants at 2ounce is much "easier" in the way that i am a bit tight for space. please, tell me if im wrong.

for plants that harvest 2 ounce, what size of bucket should i use? thanks for any info givin, rep for all replys as usual thanks :D

man easy peasy 2 gallon buckets 12"-14" plants topped fimmed what ever your pleasure, coco canna nutes with calmag, canna boost or a cheaper booster even for this project.

you got your square footage right for your light 10 plants a bit much but no biggy, grow rom berry topped prally 2 to produce 8-10 top colas if fimmed you could get 12 or more but ide keep it 8-10 so were talking 80-100 colas let them flower out havest then start nutes again on the lower buds for 10 days to add some size and wieght to them then flush and harvest them 3-4 0z per plant prally if done properly.

please people yey or nay this for him as wel or fix it, its in my heasd but never done it, seems sound to me.

If you want 1 gram per watt either grow vertical, or grow the 'normal' way and get a airophonics system, a perfect climate and a CO2 tank. Unless you want to spend alot of cash read up on growing vertical is my advice ;)

i am wanting to use hempy buckets. i don't have money for a airophonics system nor do i have money for a CO2 tank and regulator. it will only be my second grow, so keeping it simple is the key. thanks tho.

i was thinking 2 gallon would be too small, but i suppose if using the second harvest technique you can almost double what you had.

is stadium growing when you have the pots that are on the outside (as in not directly under center of light) raised slightly higher? iv only heard, never found much info.


i used coco for current grow and actually have a better yield with a soil pot growing right next to them, i think its because the coco is too compressed, my bad.

i was thinking of using only perlite and vercumite(SP) for my hempy buckets, is this best?

hempy buckets dont give high yields when compared to flood/drain or DWC. i recommend flood/drain system it is the easiest to maintain and most consistent in yield. in hempy buckets you're doing something like a manual drip system. in flood/drain you're constantly flooding with nutes then draining the tote which causes fresh O2 to be sucked into the roots. DWC is also great but you would need to maintain water temps in your res at 72F or so, flood/drain is not that dependent on temps, it would require you a medium like grorocks or rockwool cubes and a water pump with a timer to feed from a control res

HMMMM 1g per watt on your second grow ever with limited funds and experiance.............. hhmm you really think your going to grow 1g per watt??? dont you think you would be better off shooting for a more reasonable goal like 1/2g per watt?? just dosent seem realistic to me sorry............ Oh and homegrower is right i think alot will have to do with the strain too.......but ya i would bet all my money that you dont yield that much

This guy speaks the truth. Getting a gram per watt on limited funds is only possible with vertical growing...

This is not true. I've done it with a $50 DIY flood and drain system and under $20 in nutes. I'm not sure where you got the idea that growing is expensive.

yea your right what was i thinking some guy that has only grown one cycle in his whole life with little money and no experiance will deffenetly produce 1g per watt IF NOT MORE!!............lol that was sarcastic if you didnt get that..........I usually tend to agree with what you say homebrewer but on this one id have to say NO WAY BUDDY!

1g per watt is what PROS produce and your trying to say that this guy could easly do that with little money and no experiance........I find that laughable at best sorry

I was referring to the quote that money is in some way correlated to yield. Quote below:

some are claiming 1g/watt using a scrog or sog method Im using a scrog atm with 2 plants in a 2x2 space and a 250 watt hps I dought Ill get a gram per watt I would be happy with a 1/4 gram/watt. Anyways as HB said strain will be the biggest determining factor prolly. Im subbed

I dont think 1g per watt is impossible on your second grow I reached about .75 on my very first grow and now im hoping to pull a 1 gpw on my second..I am using a scrog with a 400w hps using a drip system in 3 gallon pots this time..First time i used rose buckets cut in half..

i am kinda doin my own mythbuster thing at the moment to see how close or how much more grams i get per watt i will release my findings in a few weeks useing 1000 watt hortilux
