Well I am back, to 18/6. I went from 18/6 to 24/0 and swore by that & it's worked Great for veg honestly.. it is issues I saw in bloom I was boggled.. so now I must say fk fem seeds and 24/0 lighting.
Im testing your theory. I had problms with a couple ones the last 2 batches. Yet to remedy it. Through trial and error I think it might be what you're saying. Also it was problems with a couple not all of them just 2 out of 5 strains. Any way maybe when they go into flower it stresses them out from not having any darkness to 12/12. So I've dialed it back one hour per day in my veg. For now keeping it on 20/4.

Im not flip flopping. Like I said before different strains can have different results. But if this does not remedy the problem then its not a good phenotype I guess and not worth keeping. I was almost ready to get rid of those strains.

i veg 24 hours under x2 red florescents for 12 hours and then 6 florescents(the 2 red ones, +4 blue one) for the other 12 been working grea for me.....its called a compromise

I live at 59° N and our sun is up 18.5 hrs with 24 hrs residual light. I am near the top of the rainforest range and in our super short summers, you'd be amazed by the growth of spruce, hemlock, and all the annuals. It is incredible! I wish some of these people claiming plants NEED sleep could come tell that to these guys! We DO have the lushest temperate forests in the world! I am currently running 24/0 after only doing 16/8 and its still early but I'm noticing faster growth so far! :)

I've done 18/6, 20/4, 22/2, 23/1 and 24/0. I wanted to know too. For the last 6 months I've been sticking to 24/0. Much faster growth, shorter spacing between nodes. Less stretching. pure indicas in soil reach a foot tall in 7 days and are bushy straight from just rooted clone. My clones root in 5 days, sometimes a few take 7 days. in 24/0. In 18/6 clones took 10 to 15 days. In 24/0 They are always perky and never get droopy. When you make the initial switch to 24/0, they will get droopy at end of day and stay like that for another day. Then they come out of it amd remain perky. Some do blow up like crazy when flip to 12/12. Not all do.

all under a 4ft 6 bulb t5, clones under a 4 ft single bulb t5

YES, i ran 24 hours lighting. my one heavy sativa (Cotton Candy) litterally tripled in size. i mean this plant is a fawking tree. merely 6 ft tall 47 days into flowering. veggd for 5 weeks. gave it a 36 hour dark period before running 12/12. this plant a week ago i thought furshur 4 oz. im starting to think 5 oz from this baby. it was topped 1x

here are some pics of her taking a shower. i try not to take it out of my tent. but i had to do it so i could flush. this pic was at day 29 of flower
