185w CFL - 75-80F ambient temps CANNOT COOL DOWN!

Aloha! I got myself a dresser grow with 5 42watt CFL's with 2 PC fans (one step under 120mm i believe) and 2 passive intakes the same size as the exhaust fans. I got a A/c now which keeps my room around 75-80 depending on the day but i cannot seem to keep the temps under 85-90. I now have 2 CFL on which keep the temps at around 82-ish.

Any suggestions? Im thinking about directing half of my A/c exhaust directly into the dresser but im trying to stay stealth. But it is what it is and i gotta do what i gotta do!

BTW they are 2 Easy Ryder Autoflowers :D

I know this has been brought up alot before - but it seems i have done all (most) the suggestions without much luck. Maybe Hawaii is to hot to grow inside....

My suggestion is get you another pc fan and put a 6 inch fan at the bottom. My grow box is homemade but its about as big as a dresser and i have 3 pc fans at the top horizonally for exhaust and a 6 inch fan at the bottom creates good air flow for me and i'm running 250 watts of cfl and mwith my a/c in my room on it stays between 78 to 80 so i hope this helps.

shoots! i think i need to upgrade one of the exhaust fans to begin with - seems to not push much air out. How loud is the 6 incher - i gotta sleep in the same room thats why. i can imagine that thing pushes some air tho

Yea basically, the light will heat up the air in the dresser, so if the fresh air, regardless of the rate its brought in at, is 75 degrees, your cab temperature will be higher. might be out of luck unless you want a big loud fan in your room, although there are some ways to keep those inlines quiet like mufflers. hope you find a solution! :)
good luck

Impossible to answers your question without knowing the CFM of your PC fans and the dimensions of your dresser. Without those we will be unable to determine how big your passive holes need to be, I am guessing that is the issue.
