Hey everybody

Sprouting five "magic bud" fems. For veg right now I have 4, 24 watt cfl (100w) and a T5 high output ballast.

One bulb is 6500K, which I know is good. The other bulb says it's 18000K.

Check it out: (from the 18000K box)
"Power-GLO in a T5 HO format delivers an 18000K bulb with powerful light output and makes it an ideal choice for African cichlid aquariums as well as for most marine aquariums. Colors such as blue, violet and purple will really come alive with Power-GLO. Combine with Life-GLO and Marine-GLO in marine aquariums."

Does anyone have any feedback on using this 18000K bulb in conjunction with my others. Or should I get another 6500K to be safe.

Thanks!

HAHA this is awsome i am a aquarium enthusiest. If you could i would trade the power glo in for the life glow, they put out more lumens and are going to be more beneficial to your plants health. Also i would only use these bulbs in the veg stage since you want to drop the kelvin range to about 2600k - 3200k when you begin flowering. Hope this helps.

cool thanks, I have the life glo bulbs. Its a Hagen ballast I use for my live plant aquarium, the power glo gives it a good look. I have a 400w HPS for flower.

What do you think about 1 life glow and 1 power glo? or should I stick with 2 life glo bulbs?
