So today was the big day. I decided to try my luck of not germing my seeds and just putting them into the ground. Ive litterly got hundreds and hundreds of seeds, I have been mushroom hunting the past week and also looking for good spots to plant at and I walked a good 1/2 mile back in the woods and there was a opening about a football field long/wide and I took a pencil and poked 180 little holes and put a seed in each hole and then filled the hole with Potting soil. Will get pictures soon once/If they germ and pop outta the ground, were supossed to have 4 days of hot weather than 3 days of rain so I hopen that at least 40 of which will be female, anything over that I would be tickled pink. Will keep everyone Posted.

Im not to worried if this lil shindig doesnt work, I've got 50 clones on a friends farm Im just doing the seed project to get rid of seeds and to see if it would work.

I tried that last year and damn locusts came up out of the ground and ruined the whole plot! LOL Hope you have better luck than I did!

Hold up, you didn't germinate them/veg them indoor? You're starting them outside?

EDIT: ^ I am a douchebag, says you didn't in your original post.

I thought about doing this, but I didn't know if it would work.

Brutal is right.. lol I just dumped the bag over the hole stuck the pencil where the hole was then was on my way to the next... I hope it works I dont expect all the germ and be females but if a 1/4 germ and female than I guess them useless seeds turned out to amount to something. All seeds are from Good Bud, 15 are from Galaxy god Buds, Purple strains and from Mazar grown outside lastyear from a friend. So we'll see how she turns out, Kindof scared cuz mushroom season is in its first week but in Iowa it only last for about a month so im hoping that the plants are only a foot or so tall when mushroom season dies off than let the growing begin!!

should be really interesting, though to be honest i would have germinated em to give yourself a much better chance at a massive crop!
i look forward to seeing how it turns out, get some pics up when you can :D

I should have started them indoors but mom was a little skeptic about me doing it at her house, and my ol lady doesnt quiet know im doing any of this im hoping to just suprise her in the future with some money and hope shes not mad, lol she knew I used to sell when she first got with me and didnt like it so i stoped than I had all these seeds i would save from a lb here and there. So I figure I might as well use them and see if I couldnt profiet from it. It might take a month before they are big enough to take photos of but I will keep everyone posted with them considering I'll be out there alot mushroom hunting.

You probably would have at least tripled your odds letting the seeds soak in a paper towel or cup of water for a day or two before butting them in the ground.

But if you're just doing this to see what happens, then more power to you.

I'm gonna try the same thing with some bag seed, but I'm gonna soak them for a day or two before I put them in.

I thought about soaking them/germing them but I didnt want my girlfriend to know I was doing it, It started to scare me a little though cuz I had them in a pair of socks rolled up in my closet and my girlfriends dad went in and need 2 pairs of socks and one of which had the seeds in it and I forgot which pair it was. So I had to get them out quick

Haha Yea Hopefully it works we have 30%-60% rain the next 5 days but weather in the 80s so im hopen for the right mix and I start seeing some plants poppin.... I think I might have over done it with the seeds because honestly even if 100 pop up thats still alot of plants I have to go through a rip up males and shit, Kindof have that feeling that I only want to go out there a little as possible I.e If we dont have rain for a while or really bad storms. just to check on them not really to spend much time cuz That patch of area I put them in will be full, lol
