Hey everyone well its my first grow, and learning everything is crazy. I have one plant that has taken off to about 4 ft with the rest at around 2 ft. but its all the learning process. My main question is I started the flowering on April 26th i went from 18/6 to 18 hour day cycles of 6/12. I read about it in some threads on here and figured why not try it out. 12 days in now and no real change, plants still growin away but doesnt look much different then the veg stage. I have just seem some pics on here where there plants look really good in flower stage at 10 days. Just some helpfull insight would be great ill have pics up later today. And if anyone has insight on the 18 hour cycles let me know your experiences with it.

yes i read in a thread in here that a plant only uses 6 hours of light in the flowering cycle. So in a sense the plant is going through a full day in 18 hours so you catch up 6 hours a day. so in 4 days your plant has gone through 5 days in its 18 hour day cycles. I read some more and the main stress in the flower stage is that it has 12 hours of complete un interupted darkness. This method should cut flowering to 45 or so days. Anyone else have an insight? I know there is another thread on this but its way off subject now.

ok if you go look at the pdf i attached...then maybe you can understand it...

the concept is take a regular day which we live 24 hours and a plant would normally use all 24 hours for its day and night cycle.

what you do is you take a plants full day cycle to 18 hours. supposidlly during flowering stage your plant only uses 6 hours of light in its light cycle. So giving it 6 hours light and 12 hours dark shortens the plants day to 18 hours....and now you can start its 2nd day of flowering on day one with that extra 6 hours you have.

if you start a plants 12 hours of dark at 12am it would end at 12 pm from there give it 6 hours of light until 6pm thus the plant has now completed one day of life. at 6pm you start the dark period and now your dark period will end at 6 am next day and you are already 6 hours ahead.

pretty much you make 6 hours a day. Which lets you cut flowering to around 6 or so. around 45 days.

The main focus of flowering is the 12 hours of darkness which u would still give ur plant.

i understand. its like overriding the 24hr day and going by that 12/6 schedule round the clock.
