How long I'd you veg for? Looks real good
I got some clones mid way through January but they were shit(guy took them off flowering plant and they were barely rooted) so they chilled under flouros for a bit growing roots. I put them under HPS when they had 5 nodes for about 5 weeks then flipped to 12/12

Nice looking scrog. Very nice.

We seem to be up the same creek. Did you loose your paddle too?!?
Seriously though it looks ok. Crowded but ok. I was thinking about thinning a few of the teeny shoots out but since they've all passed the screen I havn't the heart.
I'm on day 18 too (I think), 1mx1m screen under 600w hps (running at 660w). So pretty comparable really. I vegged a bit longer though...and I got 6(!) Under my screen. 3 expert seeds cheese and 3 original sensible seeds chronic lights.

I started jan 1st with 5 chronic lights, then noticed fucking root eating white lavae looking bastards in the soil at 3 days after germ so repotted. Stupidly left too much water in the bittom of my homemade propagator so ended up with sidden soil for 2 days. Potted up early to try and dry it out. Ordered backup seeds. Lost 2 of the first batch to one of the above issues, so replaced with 3 cheese (like the pizza) on jan 10th. Flipped 12/12 on 1st of march I think.
Seems like we both had ropey beginnings but I think it's fair to say we over came them...

Really appreciate the reply man! your scrog is coming along nice! I wish I could dial my ballast to 600 but it just gets to damn hot idk why? when I turn it on 75% its all gravy.(whatever saving a little money I guess) We might be in the same boat let alone creek! can I barrow a paddle? Those little shoots that are coming through the screen are what I cannot decide to chop or not. Probably going to leave them this run and if it ends of effecting quality/yield Ill do something about it next time. This is my first scrog and I love playing with and manipulating my ladies to do whatever I want! Definitely suggest it to any grower out there with low plant limits.

Maybe put a cheapy fan to blow cool air onto the ballast ang get the extra few watts out of it? Hang the expense!
I just carved this paddle out of a log that was floating passed using my trusty fruit knife. Take it, it's yours.
I'll whittle me a new one.
Since you have 2 of the same in there, you could trim out the wee ones on one? It's properly scientific side by side comparison then. A truer test than doing it next run I recon.
I'll do one of mine if you do one of yours....

Got me a paddle - check
light comes on at 7 tonight im really busy the next few days and weekend so tonight would be the only/last time I could do major trimming(dont want to be stressing them too far into flower) So I guess I have until then to decide lol. my problem with running my 600 is just that I draw my air in from the room my tent is in and the ambient temp is like 75 so even with the aircooled hood and 440 cfm fan it just doesn't cut it. I have never seen my plants burn with this ballast(I used to run 1000) but I am always afraid because of past experience :?

I hear you. My ambient is like 10-15 degrees in my setup. Way more forgiving. i've got a vents tt 125 and a parabolic in mine. Running an oil filled rad in the day cos a couple of weeks ago it hit 7 degrees C during lights out. No good!
Your call, but I agree, this is pretty much make or break time. Anything later on could be a bit stressy.
I think I'm gonna do one of mine. I got 2 different pheno's of the chronic lights, i'll ignore p2, and of the p1's i'l do the one that was the less vigorous from the start. I got to do watering and repotting a clone so I may as well make a night of it! Maybe I'll do one of the cheeses too, if I'm looking to be all sciency (real word) about it. I'm lights on at 9, so if I'm not too drunk I'll go at it...

Do you frequent any of the scrog threads? Scrog club seems to be most active, the stickied one is to beg to read from the start, and scrogrotto aint doing much.
I'm a bit concerned about woodsmanstoker's absence. He's who got me into the idea, and seems to be awol...

I still have 4 hours till lights on here but after thinking about it I think I'm going to let them ride it out as is, mostly out of laziness haha I have to think to damn hard which branches to cut and then get pissed at myself when I take to much so I guess its an experiment from here on! Ill go check out the scrog club thanks Growan

I pulled about 30 shoots and maybe 20 sprouts just starting out. Basically anything that started 2 inches below the screen that wasn't visible in the canopy when looking down.
About 5 of them were 6-8 inches long. Should have done them ages ago. some wasted calories there, but nothing to cry about. I think the important thing is the canopy hasn't taken a hit really. It was just 'stuff and fluff'. I abandoned the scientific comparison approach and just took it from where it needed it. If you're leaving yours untouched, we'll call it a 'collaborative scientific effort'. Must compare notes before we publish. :D

I like the sounds of this!! When I get some time Ill try to get some detailed notes on # of shoots and do some real good journal work. This should be interesting!!
