I always use to do 24/0 but the grow im doing now i have changed and tried the 18/6 in my opinion i like this better now that i have tried it i find my plants are not as tall they went bushy this time it might have nothing to do with the light but that is the only thing i changed this time around same dirt same clones same everything but light

Done 24/7 and 18/6. I haven't seen a vast (if any) difference. I'm saving the $. (plus if possible, toss the saved $ into flowering. thats where the money is made)

my last grow i did both 2 weeks of 24/0 then 3 weeks of 18/6 but its all a personal preference imo. I do remember reading something about plants on 18/6 show sex sooner when switched to 12/12 dont know how true that is

Funny thing about the wives's tales. 24/0 gives more males, 18/6 shows sex earlier.

Doing that, I should have nothing but males. never had one! I keep praying for a son, but nothing but sluts!

As for males vs females its all be decided when the previous female was pollinated. The seed knew long before you did.
(other may disagree, I said my piece)

I have heard that running light 24/7 through veg delays flowering a bit when switched to 12/12? is this true?
