I've found my clones to root better and quicker with a night period. Haven't really vegged alot under 24 hours, 18 works good for me all around. (I have t12 shop lights feeding my 600 and 400w rooms) =P

I've actually read in one of Jorge Cervantes' books, that people argue over the 24/0 and 18/6 light schedules claiming one is better than the other.. Instead of either of those, he said that the best growth & female rate is 16/8, which Jorge claims are better than the both. But im sure as you guys know, most growers like to do it their way and have their own opinions about it... my thing is, Why would the plants want the sun all day long? I mean, do outdoor plants differ from indoor plant growth and light cycle? The sun isnt out all day! I think its more natural to have the plant sitting in at least 6 hours of darkness rather than giving it sun all day and night long.

Your plants are still vso it equals out the same faster growth more light hours or less light hours slower growth either way your payin the same in the long run might as well stick with 24 and you get the saved time

18/6 the plants need rest. Don't you get sleep? Think about it look at tweekers up for days do you think their bodies are affected as well as their minds from no sleep. I'm a diy led guy now check out my grow and I just started week 2 yesterday
