18/6 cycle...

Can someone direct me to a link or thread that can tell me more information about 18/6 lighting??
I have just switch from 12/12 to 18/6 and just wanted to make sure that doing that has not created any problems.:-?

I wanted to add that I started the 18/6 cycle just last night and when I turned the lights on this afternoon I noticed a drastic change in my plant. the hairs are longer and it looks like there is an actual bud, or something.

Thanks ahead of time.

Ya you got that backwards, definitely switch back to 12/12 if you haven't already. Messing with light schedule like that can cause hermies. I don't know where you get your info, but
I suggest you start looking at all the info this sight offers (especially in the FAQ).

And like the dud above me said, you can ask more questions in this thread. The reason your plant is still producing hairs and resin is because you had it in 12/12 and it takes a while for it to revert back to veg. What exactly are you trying to do with this mother??? Hermie it??? I really don't understand why you would switch it to 18/6

IS it Best to run your lights 18/6 on veg stage, a seasoned grower told me that you can bump it up to like 22/2 or even 24/0. He told me that it will grow alot faster during veg... I was thinkin thought this would strain it a lil to much cause it has no time to rest..?? HELP PLZZ. I really wanna know cuz im runnin mine at 24/0 and its growin nicely but i dont wanna hurt my babby lol...

i would use 18/6 for vegg 24/0 will cost you more on power plus the plants need some time to sleep less stress in the fall , but as youy are just now change to 18/6 from your 24/0

No..I wan not trying to Hermie it at all. I have been getting information from all different sources and one source told me that having the lights off longer will force the plant to flower and bud faster>:-? I know now that this is not the case.

Umm..I have switched back to 12/12 and it seems that no harm has been done.

As for what i am trying to do with this "mother"...well I am trying to grow it with the hopes of it producing some sort of smokable product. TO be absolutely honest..I found this one seed in a bag of weed I got.

Since then it has been my little growing project that I adore!!!
I will probably be growing more in the future..so my little mistakes and all that will help me in the long run.

Looking good, just hope that lighting snafu didn't stress it enough to go hermie on you. Keep your lights at 12/12 from here on out and hope for the best. Looks good for first-timer.
