My second grow now. I don't know if this is just a late bloomer or if I'm just going to have a lot of little popcorn bud with no cola. Maybe I'm doing something wrong here ?

The plants are 30 and 33 inches tall, but look far less stretched than what my last grow turned out.

Constructive criticism is welcome, just try not to be an out and out asshole or anything

well im learning myself but I'd say they look little stringy like you need try get more light or keep light closer to them. How close you keeping the light? The stringy look might be somewhat the strain and perhaps there asking for more nutrients. While they look healthy I would bump up the Nutes a little and get more light or move light close to plants. Also if your not try topping them in Veg and beginning of Flowering to make them bushier :D

Best of Luck

Check my journal under 600w hps after 5 weeks flowering and you might understand my concern. No hate tho ya deal with what ya have or can aquire.

Dude you had them way to far from the light! you need like another 300watts to get toppers. I'd also put some in the middle of those! They'll fill in real fast than!

Thanks for all the advice. I'm strapped for cash with Christmas and all, so I've just added on 140w (actual) of linear/cfl lighting.

I've been keeping the light 3-4 inches from the tops of the plants. The 33" plant actually had some fan leaves grow into the light when I didn't check for a day. Hopefully the added lighting helps a little. After the holidays I'm going to try to find a 400w hps for the next grow.

MrJones, i'm on my second grow, 1st with 150w HPS. Mine stretched as well even when only a few inches from the light. I added about 100w of cfl's hanging around it. Here is a pic of my main colas. I'm about 10wks into flowering.

So the question is.... chop next week, or wait 2 more weeks ? I want that head high, and I've spotted very few amber trich's... so I'm thinking of harvesting next week. I've been flushing for 5 days now and plan on cutting the girls down on the 10th. Any advise between now and then is welcomed :).

Yeah, with the lack of light I figured she'd be on the airy side. Just had to pay a $130 speeding fine, or else I'd have a 400w for the next grow. Might be time to sell a guitar and beef up the setup.

What's your temps/fresh air those plants don't look ready to be flushed to me and there's something going on besides lack of light IMO

What's the strain you are growing? Looks Sativa dominant anyway so you should flower for another 2 weeks (Until the 24th).

read the title of this thread ^^^^ i would also let it go for 2-3 more weeks it defiantly does not look ready but it looks crazy to bad there so tall and your light is so weak check my grow on my sig im also still using my trusty old 150 watter she gets the job done as long as its a small plant preferably a indica dominate strain

You cant beat that when you got a good ol 150 hps and a small strain..i plan on growing some autos with my 150 hps and a couple cfls to mix up the spectrum

Hey, they stretched but gave ya some material to burn...that's always a good thing. Until you can get more energy (lighting) try some indica that won't stretch as much....good luck....Yeah, traffic tickets come at the worse times!

It looks like it stretched and you kept raising the light. The art of the 150 is using LST, Topping, Fim to keep the plant short or even a small scrog will work. 400+ watters are great but if you only have cash for a 150 it can work to keep you happy.

Thanks for all the responses guys. I clipped a couple of lower branches and I'm drying them for a sample. Since it's a personal grow, I'm just happy that I'm getting some smoke off of her and didn't kill her :). I'll keep a close eye on the trichs, but I'll probably follow y'all advice and let 'em go 2 more weeks.

I've got some amnesia haze, cali hash, and blue hash seeds when these 2 ladies finish up, and from what I know those 3 are heavy indica dominant.

Grow and learn I guess. This grow turned out better than the last, so maybe I'll get some fat nugs like I see on here all the time on this next grow.
