The socket and reflector can be separated.

Sunsystem makes a 150 with the ballast built in the reflector, I like it. It sells for around $85 shipped on eBay. I also like the htg150.
If I were able to make this purchase all over again I would probably go with the htg because of the ballast being remote & it will keep about 15% or so additional heat out of the grow space. Go with htg unless you like everything all in one. Both are good
