$0.31 KWH is fucking robbery! Who's running the power company, Enron? I'm paying $0.14, but hope to move soon where it's $0.10.
Be thankful you boys don't live in the UK.

Here kwh price is anything from £0.14-£0.45. That's about $0.20-$0.60 per kwh used.

I would call the power company. also you might want to get in the habit of keeping track of your own meter. southern California electric companies don't have a very good track record with billing. I have had bills that were for at least double my actual usage before.

Well, I live in a small studio apartment. My non-growing electric bill is about $90 a month. My growing electric bill is about $400 a month for 400W, air stones, fans, a/c running almost 24/7, etc. And I do winter growing to keep costs down (I can also open a window).

So for your 1 bedroom, with more lighting, a/c, during the two hottest months of the year? $700 per month sounds right to me, if you're electric costs and mine are the same.

I use 23kwh of electric every day approximately.

I run a 400w setup.

My electricity bill per month is around £110. Or $165.

That's for normal household running plus my 400w setup.

After reading this I had to go and check where I'm at exactly and my latest bill shows just a little south of .09 per KWH, of course theres other charges that only god knows what they're for to bump up those totals. But I'm using 2- 400 watt MH lights that were on 18/6 during the billing period = 95.00. I dont run a lot of extras ( no AC etc)

I don't run AC either lol.

Just a single 400. Tubular heater 80w. 50w inline fan. The occasional dehumidifier 221w.

Holy Crap! Im running 1600 watts in lights plus fans and pumps, plus everything else in my house including central AC (3 bedroom plus basement), two fridges and a freezer. Bill is around $200-$300 a month when its hot! idk what we pay per kwh though. We have multiple computers and at least one big screen tv on pretty much all day too. If I got a $1400 bill I would stop growing, but I don't sell my shit, I smoke it and give it away.

If you can then check how many KWH you are using per day.. then you can calculate how much the bill should be for the month.

For a 2 x 600w lights and fans and water heaters I use around 30 - 32 KWH a day.. I pay 12.9p per KWH.. or just under £4 a day.. or around £110 a month, which is around $180.

Dude, i have 16000w with 7 ton ac and ton of other odds and ends... my box draws 80amps regularly.

My bill was highest at 1350 electric... i dont think you can get that large a bill from a small ass ac you own. Your legal. Call them an let them check your shit out. Who cares, i have had city water company walk right through my flower room with a 1ft walkway between my 2 scrogs lol. He had to install new water meter. Had no choice but never heard about it or anything... national grid employee wont get paid enough to report you or prob even care. Not for anything but you box wont be inside your apt and meter either so they wont need to go inside anyways.
