A 14-year-old boy has appeared in court charged with cultivating a cannabis factory.

The youngster was arrested after police raided a house in Sheepbridge Mill, Basingstoke Road, Swallowfield, on December 16, when they found 250 cannabis plants.

The boy, believed to be only 14, previously appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court on December 16, charged with drug cultivation.

He reappeared before magistrates on December 23 but his case was adjourned until January 13 as an interpreter was not available.
The defendant, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, was remanded in custody.

One badass teenager.... I wonder if somebody is using him as a front since theyll go easier on a kid.

Yeah that's what I was thinking.... a 14 year old kid wouldn't be able to pull something off like that...

1. where did he get a house big enough for 250 plants?
2. somebody would notice if a 14 year old kid wasnt in school
3. how the fuck would he afford all the lights, nutrients.....
4. how would he even have the knowledge to be able to care for 250! plants...

lol, that australan dude who makes that video serious on you tube on how to be a comercial grower got cought with 8000 seedlings. They called it a 16 million dollar bust as each plant was valued at 2000 dollars! Lol, that puts it all in perspective. There was a small bust of a house hear as they got robbed at bun point and called the cops. There the cops found there 4x4x6 tent and a cheap free hood and they were charged for 16 plants and a pound. Looking at their setup I hope that was their veg tent! Looked like noobs got unlucky. Shit, maybe the kid thru a bag in his backyard of seeds! Who knows. But some fucks are pretty shady with the women and children when it comes to taking raps! lol. Who knows. I wonder if we will hear more. I always want to hear more and never do. They should hold all news until they got all seven articles written like a thread on the net. Then I could finnally get some resolution. Happy new year. Some guy just pmd me wondering if weed in a HTG tent would smell. I am going to let him know they are engineered to work with the HTG filter. If they are not used congruently then there is an odor problem. A scam to sell tents and filters, but we got no choice. Ah, now i wish i had done that at 14..
although i bet most (if not all) were seedlings/clones and the police probably got it wrong (what they call 250 plants and what we call 250 plants), i say well done to the kid if he pulled that off... He must of spent more than a months pocket money on getting his lights, vents, nutes and all the stuff us growers know is very pricey

Personally? Reminds me of myself as a young man.

1. Maybe his parents barn, shop, or garage, unless it was outdoors somewhere (they must of known unless they never went out to those places, THINK OF THE $500+ EXTRA ELECTRIC BILL THOUGH!). I did 287 matures plus clones in my 'formative years'. Nothing that can't be done in a 40'x10' or so area + dry room.
2. I went to school, and then I dropped out when I knew enough people. That was stupid.
3. Either he jacked lots of lunch money from kids, or somebody else was in on it with funding... The only way he could buy that himself is using T5's or regular florescent shop lights with miracle gro soil and even at that.
4. Quit dissin, I did outdoor that age, and indoor a few years later in the larger scale.

If he needed an interpreter he'll most likely of been Vietnamese as they run most of the grow op's in England now. I'm surprised it was only 250 plants as they normally fill every room in the house and sleep on a mattress in the kitchen.

For the money and shit he probably started small on a few plants, flipped that, bought more shit, and kept going until he had 250 plants... I doubt he started with the capital for all those plants

Took tha words right outta my mouth there, GrowTech. I fit 72 on a 4'x8' table, and I have 4 of 'em.
Props to the kid. (If it was really him) It's most certainly doable for a kid. I could have done it if there were any money in it back then.
However, I'm going with the dude who said it was the VC, and they are fronting off a kid. Putting everything in a kids name could be problematic though. Gotta be at least a trustee in there some where. Since it was the kids SECOND charge of cultivation, the VC sound like the safer bet.

in the u.k its the norm now days for randoms (vietnamese etc) to be caught in weed factorys, dont mean they set it up, paid for it etc just that they get the shit if it comes on top.
