12xCXB3590 Passively Cooled

Day 9:

Lamps still on half power, slowly lowered the rack after germination.

Blackjack 1 had problems getting out of it's shell, when it looked it was not going to manage, i removed the shell with a pincet.
Since then it seems to be recovering.... slowly

Blackjack 4 and 6 have some "rusty" spots on the leaves.
My guess is that the layer of sowing soil was too thin, and the little ones are over fed by the lightmix underneath.

Wow, that's not bad at all! I'm not finding any decent prices yet on the same tubing you went with, gotta love capitalism! lol You got the hookup on price, I may need to order from the same place as you. Unfortunately I can't read the language on the site, I'll figure it eventually.

I miss having a wood stove! I'm a bit jealous bro! lol The closest I can get to this is the crackling fire they have on Netflix for those of us no longer blessed with a wood stove!

It just isn't the same.

Curling up @ the fireplace, hitting the vaporizer hard bongsmilie

after a long day of work keeps me sane ;-)

I keep the fire burning day and night during the cold months, before bed I feed it an arm full of wood, and when I wake up, again, opening the valves and it just keeps going.
The only gas I use is for showering and cooking.

No worries, I actually found a place that is here in the states that has the nylon corners fairly priced. It's crazy how much some places ask for just the corner pieces, I didn't even check them for the price on the actual aluminum since they were charging so much for the corners!!

So this is my first grow (LED got me interested again) since 8 years.
The last grow in my old house was partly a BlackJack run, that's when i fell in love with the strain :bigjoint:

man...amazing idea, I was about to drop a lot of $$ on the "traditional" heatsinks (2kw COB garden)

but this makes the job so easier and cheaper. almost makes me wonder why anybody would prefer an aluminium plate over this.

I could just mount these heatsinks between two L shaped metal strips,
making the panels as long as i need.

The problem is the shipping. I got a quote on 24 60W sinks from those guys and although its only $175 usd for the sinks, its $120 usd shipping.

yeah that's the big draw back till someone here in the US stocks these in quantity
shipping is gonna be a bitch as with any heatsink really ,

who said you have to buy these heatsinks from alibaba? if your country has those plate heatsinks than you can also find these small round heatsinks

I just wouldnt believe it's enough for passive cooling. turns out it is.
and they are even Watt rated for COB so you don't need to do any calculations plus its modular.

yet shiny aluminium plates are definitely sexier and also easily converted to cool hooded ones )

Day 12:

Blackjack 1 is a goner

it looks a bit retarded

The rest is doing fine, the rusty spots have not appeared on new leaves, so the initial shock of being over fed a bit seems to have faded.

This was a "in between" summerhouse that i lived in for about 4 years, after that i moved again, and later bought a house.
So yeah, i had to tear it down in the end
