120mm Fans to 12v Battery

So I just bought two 120mm fans for my grow box. I have a few questions.

1. Can I just hook the red and black wires to a 12volt battery (as my power source) since they are 12v Fans?

2. Will two 120mm 12v fans one on each side of the box be to much for 3 120watt CFL's in a white 30"x30" box?

Thanks =)

just get 2 4inch inline duct fans and wire them up and plug em into the wall, its so much easier and more efficent, put on the roof of your box and one at the lowest point of your wall

You could just use an old cell phone charger to power both fans .... I would use one of the fans for intake and the other for exhaust ......

here's a question, 37.50 CFM's would that be enough for a 3x3x4 box ?
I am working with something close in size

I am using 2 4inch in line duct fans i picked up at the hydro store

$30 a piece

very quite, I also picked up a filter for the furnace and cut it in half and placed it in front of my intake fan to keep the air clean coming in

Cut the connector end off of the charger then if the pc fans have plastic ends on them cut them off also ...... Then connect the + pos to the + pos and the - neg to the - neg then wrap them both up with some electrical tape and your done ....:eyesmoke:
