hydro doesnt yield more than soil, the growth is just faster.

hygro= RH or relative humidity

your feed frequency is too much IMO , when you water, your pot should be half weight, overwatering is a common issue with rockwool and lead to disaster(root rot ,pythium, slime)

ph perfect is a marketing shit, theres no ph perfect... best advice I can give you, get rid of Advanced as soon you can and chose a professinal nutrients. Advanced nutrients is just a super pricey, low quality fertilizer and their marketing strategy is to attract new cannabis grower... lot of people start with Advanced and move to a decent nutrient. the truth is... high quality nutrients are not expensive!!!

you can convert your ppm to ec if you know the conversion factor of your ppm meter. in general factor are .5 or .7 so [email protected]= 1EC [email protected]=1EC etc...

dont forget to clean your pump!
Well that is the whole reason of this test is to see what Advanced Nutrients is all about, before I was using alot of GH, Flora Duo A and B, Flora Nectar, Diamond nectar, Armor Si, Superthrive, House of Garden Root Exculerator, Monster grow and bloom, Cal mag, green planet "dense". I have always gotten really good results and I know if its not broke don't fix it, but why not give another company a chance and see how there product works. What do you use for nutrients I am always down to try out other things especially if they are cheaper. My PPM'S were 480 so I should be around a 1EC? What should I be aiming towards? Yes I clean both pumps out thanks.

House and garden made a better root accelerator and advanced equal us jumpstart. It's being brought down of the market and advanced nutrients is telling all there customers thy this root product is better. And I now the next few months to years they gurantee to come out with a better product. Because he will only sell number 1 products not second best
In another setup we ran full house and garden and results will be done on those other pictures I attached in my partners setup, but yes house and garden seem to work very well.

advanced nutrients is the worst on the market.

the best root stimulator , 80$ for a liter of water. nice =)

I clicked on that pdf. but im not sure how to read it. What is it saying is some of the best root stimulators?

But this is his thread so enough about nutrients this isn't what it's about
Also I don't mind as long as it doesn't get to crazy, I will be using the Grand Master Level with Connoisseur all the way through no matter what for the purpose of the grow journal and maybe to help others in the future. Kind of wish I could edit the title to put Grandmaster Level AN in there so people know but oh well

When a better product comes along advanced isn't afraid to admit it's better that's why jumpstart will be off the market.

Only a theory and C/critisism is endorsed....................considering the system the OP's currently GOT to run with, what about no recirculation? It'd take some monitoring, but only pump solution once or twice a day, with no run off? Looks like a good volume of substrate to accommodate such a system and then he could keep the feeding solution bang on
wait so you are saying I should only feed twice a day with no run off back into the rez?

it really depend on cfm of blower and your room. with no co2 and a room packed like yours, aim for 20-30 air change by hours at least. ideal would be 50-60 air change/hr

you can cover your pot with black n white.
can you recommend an intake fan?

I'm running a ebb and grow system right now with tap water 120ppms too. I'm having a bitch of a time keeping the pH stable as it swings back up in about 12 hours and causes nute lockout. How is the tap working?

I will get back to you as soon as I check. how can I tell if there is a nute lockout? If I see deficiencies?

all nutrients works , they are just designed differently. some are just copycat while other are orignal formula designed on science and research.

im just sayin Advanced sucks because you pay a lot for nothings and their propaganda is just lie , zero science to back their claim. in fact, Advanced nutrient is legal scam.

you could buy 20-20-20 and be successful... nutrients are probly the less important factor , obv its not optimal but it would work as good as Advanced , since Advanced is far from optimal.

I use optimum hydroponix base nutrients but wtv , every nute work, just find one that decent and its not expensive. If its made for cannabis or have fancy bottles , look for another company. serious nutrients company dont use 1231249 bottles and dont advert their nutrients like candies.

120 ppm is fine but you may have too much alkalinity theres 3 solutions:

1: cut your tap with RO
2: use a fertilizer with ammonium like canna aqua or dynagro
3: use ph down and make sure its 100% phosphoric acid , not citric acid(GH ph down for example use citric acid)

I don't have RO and what is a good RO system that is reasonable? I also use AN ph down and up, but I haven't been touching the ph for the sake of the "ph perfect" whether its bullshit or not, im not touching it for the sake of the experiment and journal. How can we test the alkalinity? by seeing what the ph is after I do a feeding or just test the ph of the water before adding nutes?

With a system of your size you should invest in an reverse osmosis filter. They gurantee there

I LIKE your style @weedemart, some solid advice there, I wish I'd known someone like you back in the day.

@paperc07 , this guy know his onions, listen to him

@BusterVAP , must be one of these communist infiltrators planted into RIU to start an internal war.....pmsl..........or an AN rep/employee/mole?..........Advanced nutrients are SHITE!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you wanna learn about nutrients, search 'reverse engineering your nutrients' on this forum. All of the cannabis directed nutrient companies are a RIP OFF

any brand will do it, u just need 100% phosphoric acid, citric acid isnt as effective.

food grade phosphoric acid is the cheapest
So the hydro guy is thinking my problem is a nitrogen deficiency. I'm running Veg+Bloom and he's telling me the powder lines are very salty and don't have an even supply of nutrients. He said tap is fine for hydro because it's strictly water so a little cholorine is actually a plus to keep a sterile rez. He also said our tap has some excess alkalinity because we are surrounded by limestone. He said soil guys should worry about tap because of the organics they run. He wants me to try his nute lineup which is based off of the Dutchmaster series before I buy an r/o system. He was also saying my nutes are too high as is. I'm running 750ppm in week 2 of flower. He said they max out at 400ppm in flower...
