12 oz every 3 months

Hey everyone just have a quick 2 questions for you all. I'm looking to get 3/4 of a lb harvest every 3 months with a 1000w light in a 4x4 tent. I have a 3x3 scrog screen I made and think just filling that up with a decent yielding strain should do the trick but I would like to get an opinion or 2 before I start setting everything up.

So I guess my 2 questions are:

1. Will a 3x3 1000w soil scrog be able to give me 12 oz every harvest with a decent yielding strain?

2. How many plants should I use for the scrog. More plants equal less veg time right?

Well that's only 336 grams, I'd say it's very possible. You'd be getting just over .3g/watt. Also consider most strains are advertised at about 500 or 600g per m2. You're basically doing that m2. I'd say you could expect 12 oz or 16 oz easily as long as nothing goes really wrong.

I'd say do 9 plants or 16. No matter what it's going to take you 3 months because 1 month of veg and then 2 months of flower. If you wait any longer than that, they'll probably be too big for a Scrog to be of any use. I don't advise you go for 25 or 36. If you start cramming too many into such a small area, they don't have enough root room to bud to their full potential. (I know because I've grown plants in about 2.5liter soda bottles(5 inch diameter 3 liter bottles with the top cut off) and they don't bud very well). I'd say give them all 3 or even 5 gallon buckets and with some decent soil, you could expect double what you hope for.

Much oblige! I've never hit the .5 g/w ratio before and have only grown with a 600w but I think that was due to my style and low plant count. Never used the screen before but if it works anything like the pictures it should do wonders for my yield.

i would use 9 plants and your target wieght should be likely but i think it would tak longer than 3 months though. good luck...

Use clones and a 60 day flowering strain and you could easily get 1 pound every 60 days.

The big goal per 1k light is 2 pounds. Mind you, it's just the goal. So, I think, if you do it right, you could pull a pound or more under 1k. I believe you can fit 12 to 16 plants under 1k. I'm more of a small time grower, for personal use, but I pay attention to the commercial guys all the time. On another note, if you're growing perpetually, you can reach your target of 12oz every 2 months depending on the strain you're using. In fact, it all depends on the strain you're using. Pick a high yielding indica and you'll easily be within your target. Make sure you veg long enough and top to get those bushes. throw it all under a screen. You'll get your goal and then some.
