Hey eyerybody. I need to buy a very good inline fan and stealth is an issue. Which inline fan would be quieter. The 12 inch elicent or 14 in can max fan turned down to match elicent cfms.?? Help much appreciated.

Don't know but,
It would be hard to test. The elicent (never heard of them) is a centrifugal, and the can max is axial hybrid type. It would be different in different scenarios. Centrifugals are better under higher pressure.
After looking on the can website they make a q max 12 inch fan that has a built in silencer. It flows less, and I don't know if its a gimmick or not.
I'm partial to vortex fans, they have a website and post there ratings with graphs and air flow under pressure and post Decibel ratings.
