12/12 outdoor lighting

hey guys, i have my big bud plant outdoors and its going well, about 2 months old now, and i want to start it flowering..

Being in aust, we're getting around 14.5 hrs of daylight each day..

If it requires 12+ hrs of darkness, could i just cover 2.5 hrs before sunset then un cover after that? Or would it need to be uncovered in the morning..

Ive read some places, less than 14hrs is ok for flowering? Is that true aswell?

some strains will start to flower at 10hrs of dark. I covered my deck plants so they would be ready before my garden plants. I did this for 6 wks till we had full on 12/12. I covered them at 8pm and uncovered at 8 am. worked great

yes covering with a light proof tarp a few hours before sunset will trigger them to flower early

yes..and if i see some starting to flower early, they are getting covered! I had some stunted ones from reveg last year, bummed me out

Great! Thanks for the quick response... I will try this, and check for signs of flowering...

i make a crude hoop house out of PVC 20 foot sticks bent into half circleswith a center support and pull my tarps over that

Light dep... Would love to try it sometime.

My bird flew away, so might use his cage to host, and cover that!
