12/12 from seed 136 watts CFL (first time)

I am doing a similar grow to you, but ALOT more room. m trying to get more lights like you have for flowering. Mine are allreadys 12-16inches tall and i don't think there is really a point of a 10 inch grow space.

Another thing i did was made a tin foil cone on the light to direct the light more onto the light it seemed to work a lot better. Also you should keep them right in the biggest pot right away because transplanting is very deadly if you are not a pro at it. I would also put it on 24 hourse for the first 1-3 weeks than switch to 18 and 6. Especially with CFLs because the dark period is a killer to seedlings, sometimes.

I am glad the doors helped the temperatures drop a little bit, but you should still look at alternative methods such as the intake/out take fans everyone has suggested. Anyways man cool grow, keep up the good work.

I'd say I got 16-18 inches of space from top of pot to bottom of lights.. and so far, this plant is short and fat.. Maybe it will stay that was, I hope so..

Yes just exhaust and no intake, But i allow fresh air into my room each morning and evening and they seem to do ok at this point in time !

I'm going to work on an exhaust.. Cutting holes in my grow space is not an option.. I'm thinking a small box with PC fans on two sides, with some kinda of large tubing leading from the box, to the outside of my grow space.. Anyone think that could work.. In theory, I think it would..

yea i agree with sic he talked me into veging also just 3 weeks and so do some lst you would be pleased in the outcome and i seen 94 degrees in that last pic you need to bring that temp down or it's just gonna get worse as she gets bigger and takes up space

and the heats gonna get even worse since I upped the total to 302 watts.. no pics today.. sorry, lol.. Maybe tomorrow..

also, I can't veg for very long due to the small space, I dont want the plants getting too tall.. I'm still trying to figure out an alternative to my small space... I hardly have room for the fan, let alone any type of intake/exhaust.. I pulled off a corner of the back of my computer desk (what its growing in) and the front door has a few light leaks (big enough that I feel air coming out).. I'll figure something out.. I'm worried about the temps too guys..

What are your exact dimensions?
And when you get some more pics up, include some of the actual cab. Im sure i can think up something.

looks good so far!
But, IMO 12/12 from seed seems like a bad idea because from what i understand the plants are not mature enough to flower until at least three weeks into growth, so why not veg them for those first three weeks?

i went 12/12 from seed for the ease, less electricity, and it was my first one i just wanted less chances of fuckin something up

I'm including pics of the cab, the room with the cab, a shot of my party cups with the back of my cab folded over for ventilation, and how I have the lights hanging with power strips in the top drawer of my "cab" which is really a desk that has the bottom two drawers removed..

Also included an updated pic of the lil plant, lol..

Also, I forgot to get the dimensions, sorry SICC.. I'll do that later or tomorrow, I gotta send pics from my cell to my email, then get on a PC with internet (that I dont have) to upload the pics.. It wont let me login on my phone, so I dunno when I'll be back.. Just leave me some feed, advice, anything you can think of that would help.. THANKS!!!

Figured some of you would like to see an updated pic.. Heres one from this morning..

94`F!?!?!?! Wow bro.. I would keep an eye on your grow area temps. Ideal temps for growing.. range from 65`F - 85`F.

You do have a fan in there... correct???? If so, and your temps still get up around 95`F.. then I would suggest getting another fan bro.

Sooner or later.. those hot temps like that.. WILL catch up to your plants... eventually. May not be this week, or next week.. but having

constant temps that high with lights on... will cause harm to your plants.

Hope that helped you out man.

For all the noobs around here... I would suggest to you newbies, I would suggest reading the RIU FAQ. There are a ton of answers to your 'basic' questions about growing.
