Keep a Rh gauge in there, ensure its about 20c/70f at 40-60% Rh for 10 days, or use a dehumidifier

the buds are not closed up the weed looks the same as it does when it went in. im a newbie but a trusted friend has told me that they need to close up before it comes down.

Usually if you only rough trim leaving the sugar leaves on it will appear to "close up" I think if thats what you mean..... If you trimmed closely, they will look different. Its more important to have a proper cure than to worry about what the buds look like IMO.

What they do when they dry is shrink, if you didn't trim before you hung them the the leaves will curl over the buds... provided that you hung them upside down anyway

If your buds stay airy/fluffy get a food vacuum sealer and suck air out to help compress buds to make thrm tighter and less airy. Dont suck the shit out of it to make it.like a brick just sucks it.to compress some andnreleasenthe suction and buds with xompress some. Could also put on a flat table while drying and slowly roll like a qtr turn every day is another way
