i just a 100 watt cfl, and have it above my plant. on the sides of the plant i have two vertical flo tubes running up and down the plant. my question is...does this sound like enough lighting, and is a 100 w CFL going to burn my plant? or help it out? and that would be enough for one plant right....130 watts on it?

not sure if you mean its a 100 watt bulb or the equivalent to a 100 watt incadescent...

If its a 100 watt bulb thats 300 watts of incadescent and yes that should be fine if you drop it on top of the plant... well not on the plant but about 4 inches off the top.. im glad to read your using floro tubes vertically so am I..

I have 2-27 watt daylight cfl per plant and my flouro..

in flowering ive added 2 30 watt soft white 2700k and 1 27 watt daylight cfl.. i have 2 4 ft two bulb shop lights vertical on the sides you should be ok check out my journal the link is in my signature.

I use a 250watt cfl for vegging in the first 2 weeks and keep it 2 inches above the plants, they love it so dont fret!

You should use all CfLs. They put out more light and use less electricity then flouros. A 100w bulb only uses 23 watts. More light is allways better and its almost impossible to burn foliage with CFLs unles its touching the light.
