I've used 100 watt cfl's for some time. They work well, but I use one per plant. I have seen 200 watt cfl's (u-shaped tubes instead of spiral) but have yet to purchase any. They're about $15, but could be well worth the price. Anybody had experience with these?

gimme a link to a 200W tube cfl for 15.00 please.

went to lowes today they got 300 watters- huge lights. and 300 not the equal for 17.00 i think they were 39,000 lumens not sure

Got a link?

I bought 105 watt actual wattage bulbs but cooling them is proving to be a major problem in a small cabinet. CFL's get quite hot

these are 125 watt and 250 watt monsters and are the cheapest i've seen at $35 for 125 and $70 for 250's we also have the newest lastest and greatest style called rosebud. These are 105 watts but are 30% more efficient than the U type. The technolgy is simple, the larger gaps between the tubes allow more light to shine through and also keeps them cooler. These are $35 and have a standard lamp base not mogul. These are all actual watts. We should stop quoting equiv watts. They refer to incandescent equivulants not gas discharge (MH, HPS) we don't use incandescents for growing ..do we?
