about 10% of the tris are amber in color was thinking of going in 3 days dark, when should i do it ? i want half amber/ half cloudy how long do you think it will take for the rest to get amber? they are in 8 weeks flowering outside and 1 week inside, (stinking up the whole block). by looking at the whloe bud it looks like it needs 2 more weeks or so, what do you think? new strain to me is it becouse of being outside?

yes. it looks about 2 weeks from peak..

also, those "3 days of darkness" don't do anything for the potency it turns out.

some guy said he tried both methods ( 1. three days dark or 2. just hacking 'em

down before the lights turn on) just a few weeks ago, and he concluded

that the idea is simply urban myth. hope it turns out well, :leaf:

you have about a week in a half then you wanna cut them. keep looking through the microscope each day to see where the amber is starting to appear. I think a week and a half will do

"The Stichting Institute of Medical Marijuana (SIMM), the first company to sell marijuana through the pharmacies of Holland, has been investigating the medical possibilities of cannabis, together with TNO laboratories and the University of Leiden. One of their discoveries has been that to keep the ripe plants in the dark before harvesting could increase their potency.

SIMM’s growers separated a crop of mature plants, harvested half of them and kept the other half in absolute darkness for 72 hours before cutting and drying. Analysis of the resulting dried buds showed that some varieties had seen an increase of THC of up to 30%, while CBD and CBN remained the same."

But I guess we can believe what; "some guy" says over what The Stichting Institute of Medical Marijuana and TNO laboratories and the University of Leiden all have to say.

I mean what could an institute for medical marijuana, a laboratory and a university possibly be able to discover that "some guy" might have missed with what I am sure was his ultra high tech operation and what I am sure were the hundreds of plants he ran tests on?

Well its been 12 1/2 to 13 weeks flowering, o.k i know all you guys says wait a week longer. but they are going in 72 hour dark starting today. trics are 50% cloudy, 30% clear, 20 % amber. hairs never turned, never grew this strain before. look at the one pic of the dry bud on top, i think its from lack of water, i did flush way to early, what do you think lack out water or nutes?
