Subcool's Super Soil

Yes the # means pounds and oyster shell is as good as dolomite. Also I just mixed up my super soil. I added kelp meal and greensand as I am uncomfortable without the K. Thanks for the help. I am letting it cook for 2-3 weeks. Using liquid karma and ro and super plant tonic to keep it moist.

What is the volume of the 6-8 bags of the base mix? 1.5 cuft, 2 or 3?? THis will affect the volume of the remainder of the amendments. Thx

No Oysters shells are not the same as dolimite.

Green Sand takes months and months to break down.

It amazes me how people will alter a recipe I have been using and teaching for over a decade and one that landed be the cover of Big Book 3

If you make changes to the recipe I cant garantee results. You may get better results than us all I am saying is our recipe is well tested

Does this mix ever have Potassium problems?

And will Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Bloom Soil, Liquid Karma, Sweet Carbo be enough for the end nutes if needed?

Trying be organic as possible.

If anything else is necessary or would recommend something else please do for I'm using your strains.

Sorry dude, I completely forgot, but hey, I am a pain patient, ahem, ahem. Lol, did not mean to hijack your thread, and right now I remember all kinds of cool stuff about dolomite lime, things about ph being stable at 7. Like a ph 7 factory in my dirt. All I know is I put too much in and maybe that is why my ph is way high? IDK, gents I am only here to ask questions of the greats and score rep irresponsibly. Funny, I promised myself not to do that.

This thread has been by far the very best thread I have ever read reguarding growing cannibis. It has shaped the way I grow and your methods sub literally make my life a hell of a lot easier. I just want to thank you for your advice and tips. i highly appreciate your hard work and love your book DANK! To be honest I would love to read a book about breeding and soil ect... by you. That book is completed and it is called The Laws of Cannabis by Subcool I have not found an editor yet I won't work with Ed again but I will get it done!

It is to my understanding based on what I've read that bat guano{and possible some other ingredients in the mix} has slow release nutes which are not included in the NPK as NPK values only account for what is readily available. Is this true and perhaps where some potassium comes from? As someone stated earlier in the thread it is seemingly low on potassium if looking at the NPK values alone. As such it would seem that if it doesn't get any extra potassium from this that perhaps a slight boost in potassium could make for a better mix not that it isn't amazing already. From what I've seen yourself and others do with it, it does appear to work just fine for what it was designed to do. Just a little curious and thinking of maybe experimenting with your mix Subcool and a few variations using some clones to see what becomes of it all...Any particular strain you'd recommend for growing in your Super Soil, looking for a strong head high mainly and average or better yields, referring to your strains of course. I'm really interested in Pandoras Box at the moment.

I cant answer questions about my soil it works and its used all over the planet.
I developed this mix over the last 20 years IT works extremly well..
Every picture you see from me in Hightimes Skunk Dank Big Book the plants were grown in this recipe and I get amazing results

Sub, I have three beautiful 3d's and a dozen clones of them. I got the seeds from HempDepot. Do you have any specifics on what she likes?

it likes super soil dude.

Third Dimension is a moderate feeder very easy plant to grow I noticed no deficiencies or problems in the three rooms I have seen her run in.

Yeah, np I kinda figured that. I think I'll go through with some altered versions of it. Though as stacked as it is I would imagine it would be near impossible to come up with something which works significantly better in the same manner. I do believe its about as good as it gets, no hurt in trying though. Best way to learn afterall.

I have this question, when you say "just water" do you mean that really only water. No worm castings teas, no molasses feeds or bacterial inoculant. I am aware that the soil can only be stimulated to a point and one woud just be pissing money away on a lot of those package nute deals. But no soil condition feeds to keep the soil population alive? Nothing. Cuz, I really want to hear you say "just water!", today as you can guess it was another aerated compost tea and fert feed!


so just water, no worm casts or blackstrap food? cool. . . Also I just picked up a book by jeff someone on the soil food web, should be good.

I use only water with a few exceptions meaning strains that need extra,
The soil has all the plant needs to perform properly and create Dank!
