Wann make my own Hydroponic Nutrient Solution but don't know where to start

I can't really help as I have never done that or wanted to do that. However, I would think that buying the individual components would only have a cost benefit on a large scale.

    Cutting root balls

Why trim them? I grow in 5 gallon buckets and if they were really packed I would probably consider a bigger rez before cutting them. The only time I have ever cut roots is when they had rot.

    Newbie Dwc Problems !!!

Some strains do better with a more moderate ppm in the 650-850 range so I would probably say go back to what it was when it was growing better. As for the height you may be outta luck. Maybe try to bend them a little and tie it to an anchor point so it is more diagonal in the tent. It is...

    Help with imbalance.

Just in case anyone stumbles across this my problem was caused by using AN ph perfect and cal-mag together. I don't know why it affected one strain more than the others (1 had very minimal issues just now showing up and the other is perfect) since everything was the same for all of them. The...

Best way to combat pythium and root rot in all hydroponic growing methods.

I haven't been following this thread really but figured I would contribute my experience last grow. I can't exactly remember why they started to slime but after they did I re-enforced the light proofing and added more air and changed out the stone. It slowed down but did not go away. When rot...

New to DWC and growing cannabis .

12 gallon containers for each plant seems like overkill unless you plan to grow monsters...and seems like a hassle to have to change out and haul that much water...i use 5 gal buckets and it seems more than adequate...the only time I wish it was bigger is towards the end of flower when they...

new to dwc hydro. plant is 4 weeks old..how much did you pull off your first dwc grow?

Trying out a few new ones: blue hash and sour jack...and also growing white widow X big bud for edibles I have only grown in DWC. I used Nugbuckets mainlining technique last grow and had good results so am going to try that again.

But if they all share the same light then isn't the small plant also under the same light schedule (12/12)?

new to dwc hydro. plant is 4 weeks old..how much did you pull off your first dwc grow?

Well if it is already in flowering that explains the stretch and it is too late to top it then. Water temps are really important in hydro both for root health and also for the amount of oxygen the water is capable of holding. Higher temps will make you more prone to develop problems such as...

new to dwc hydro. plant is 4 weeks old..how much did you pull off your first dwc grow?

I don't really remember how much my first grow yielded...guessing around 2-3 oz off of 2 plants...but I think it is general consensus that in hydro if you get anything on your first grow it should be considered a success. Your plant looks a little stretchy so you might consider lowering the...

    Container question first grow... Help

I think you meant a 10 gallon container? I can't tell if there are 3 or 4 plants in the container but either way they need to be split up. They look like they are positioned too close together which probably isn't an issue right now but when they start flowering you will have trouble getting...

    "Burst" growing?

I think there are quite a few people who grow like that but I would not want a cleaning service there under any circumstances. I would probably try to figure out why I can't get things clean enough for my wife. If the problem lies with her perceptions or unrealistic expectations then I am not...

    Help with imbalance.

I don't think it is nutrient burn since the tips of the leaves aren't yellowing first but I am going to take it down to around 650 ppm and see if it responds any better. Thanks for the input.

    Help with imbalance.

Roots are growing and look good. The B52 is some old stock that I was just trying to use up so I may cut that out and see if it is somehow causing a problem. I didn't plan on replacing it but I will take a look at Vitamino. I feel like it is going to continue since today I noticed there are a...

    Help with imbalance.

I have a white widow big bud plant that is having a problem with some necrotic spots developing on a few leaves. I am using AN sensi grow pH perfect in RO water. It is currently at 1/4 strength with cal-mag, b52, and hydroguard. At 1/4 strength the pH usually sits at around 6.1 and PPM around...
