This is the same PE tub after 2 weeks in fruiting...

This is the first PE mono cased with Jiffy when I put it in fruiting conditions. This was the 3rd tub of this mono, the first 2 took so long to colonize that trich set in before they were done. The B+ tubs were colonizing later and fruiting earlier than this PE...motherfucker is slow going...

Another B+ monoculture, this pinset is a little more uniform. The first mono I tried out was a dud pretty much, it only fruited at the sides with only 1 or 2 fruits growing from the actual surface using a liner. That was uncased though...I may be sold on using casings after this though haha.

Shit got a little hectic over the holidays so I've been slacking on keeping this thread updated. Here's some progress pics I took tonight though... All the pinsets on these tubs are looking killer so far. I cased all the tubs with pasteurized jiffy mix and fruited around ~30% colonization...

I just spawned a PE and B+ monoculture to coir last night...I'll post pics as soon as they're done with the spawn run and I'm going to throw them in the greenhouse. I have my fan exhausting into a filter outside the tent and it works just fine. But I'm using a DIY bucket filter so I didn't have much choice about using it outside of the tent. Why can't you mount your filter at the top of your tent?

I have had this exact same shit going on for the last year, it really sucks. I'm 99% sure it's from cigarette smoking though, I don't smoke MJ often enough for it to cause sinus issues. Maybe you should invest in a vaporizer or cut down...?

I was going to invest in an alcohol lamp, but I'm guessing that's a no-no in a still air box because it'll create air currents? Also, is it feasible to use a still air box for strain isolation using agar? I'd almost certainly be transferring away from contamination at some point... Hey...

That dude wasn't any sort of badass. He got himself caught through pure stupidity...that being said, the punishment doesn't fit the crime.

Buuuut, I don't have the cash nor space to build a proper flow hood, so I'm going to build a still air box for doing grain to grain transfers and maybe start messing around with strain isolation finally. I'll probably just get a clear Rubbermaid tote and mount a 15 watt UVC light at the top...
