End of Week 5 Flower , January 3rd, 2015. 5 Weeks left for the Jack and the Sweet Purple 7-8 weeks left for the WW. Start of week 6 and I expect the next two weeks the buds are going to double in size. Already all are showing a lot of frost, including the WW which seems to be catching up on...

Nice big buds and the Jack isn't that far behind. White Widow is doing much better this week, buds still far behind the other two but at least...

Yellowing and spotting on fan leaves

So the plant seems to be doing better today after a couple of adjustments on Wednesday. 1) Added GH Subculture-B 2) Upped the pH to 6.2 3) Reservoir temp from 16.8C to 19C. (Automatically happened after adding in the Subculture-B) Personally I think it was #2 and #3 together that helped, So...

Batch Grow #1 : WW, JH & SP

End of Week 3 Flower , Beginning of Week 4 - December 20th This week things seem to be doing better but not after I put some beneficial bacteria into the reservoir. I used General Hydroponics Subculture-B and the reason I did this is because I noticed quite a bit of brown, dark brown, on the...

Yellowing and spotting on fan leaves

Thanks for your input. On Saturday I upped the cal/mag so hopefully that was the right thing to do and aligns with your suggestion. Just need to wait and see now. As for pH, I calibrated my meter last week and keeping the reservoir between 5.9 and 6.1. Cheers, SB

    Very Sick Plants! Help!!!

Had a similar problem with my current grow, not as bad but the looks of the leaves is the same. What fixed it was calibrating my pH meter. After I calibrated the meter I checked the pH of the existing water and it was just below 4.0. After that plants recovered quickly. Cheers, SB

Yellowing and spotting on fan leaves

Hi, Looking for second opinions on what could be going on with one of my plants. She's GHS White Widow, DWC, 400w HPS, she is 16" tall and in her 2nd week of flower. A few of the bottom fan leaves have yellow patches and some brown spotting. Some of the fan leaves in the middle are also...

    Sexing difficulty

What it looks like to me, the plant in this pic has a lot of yellow leaves. I don't think it's the amount of light but could be a lack of N (nitro). Cheers, SB

    What is this?

Yeah, had the same thing on one of my grows, chemdog. Not sure what it is, but what I do know is if you smoke it you won't get high. Cheers, SB

    Cleaning hydro gear

Sounds like you need to do several things and I'm not sure what you mean by "build up on paper strip"? #1 clean the sensor. Very, very gently with a Q-TIP and just water. Soak pen in storage solution for an hour or so before using the QTip. #2 calibrate your meter. Really important to do this...

    Light help

This is a loaded question. How tall are you going to veg these two plants to? What strain are you growing. Soil or hydro. Cheers, SB

    check up

Just my opinion but for 5 weeks old she doesn't seem to be growing very much. The bottom leaves are showing a deffiency, either magnesium or sulpher, correct with epsom salt. The new growth, leaves on the very top, the tips look burnt, cut back on the nitrogen. I'm not a soil grower so dont do...

Batch Grow #1 : WW, JH & SP

End of Week 1 Flower , Beginning of Week 2 Flower - December 6th. I've lost my sense of humor about how this grow is going. I just did a compare between last weeks' picture and then this weeks picture and all I can say is, I think I'm in trouble regarding how big these plants are going to get...

Batch Grow #1 : WW, JH & SP

End of Week 5 Veg, Beginning of Week 1 Flower - November 29th Incredible growth this past week (really the last two weeks) and this past Friday I put all three plants into flower. I moved them into the Flower room and started them with 24hrs of darkness. The 3 x 2' T5HO and 4 CFLs just wasn't...

Batch Grow #1 : WW, JH & SP

End of Week 4, Beginning of Week 5 - November 22 Big difference this past week and a big lesson learned about pH meters. I bought my meter back in February 2012 and never calibrated it. Well after buying a 7.0 and 4.01 solution, calibrating my meter I found my DWC water was at pH 4.0. Holy sh!t...

Batch Grow #1 : WW, JH & SP

End of Week 3, Beginning of Week 4 - November 15 Since the food change on Monday these three plants have taken off. Jack Herer (Middle Plant) has really taken off and surpassed the Jack in height. White window is the smallest but looks really healthy. Future note: Nutes spoil after a...
