    Afghan Kush Hermaphrodite :(

So we have been going with a Afghan Kush strain and I am pretty sure it has hermaphrodited. It's the second time it has happened with this strain, and I am trying to figure out why. There is no light leak at all, ppm stayed low so no burns, co2, good ventilation, humidity in the 40's, and...

    First Scrog Attempt

Well started finding small seeds developing on the lower nodes of the plants. I am guessing some of the nanners blew pollen everywhere, and with our airflow I am pretty sure everything has been pollinated. We ended up clearing out both systems, and harvested a bit early. We fixed some of the...

    First Scrog Attempt

Found two nanners / bananas today on the top of a bud. Used some pluckers and water to pull if off, but I am a little bit worried about things getting pollinated. I've read that they are stress / gene related, and that they can and cannot pollinate your buds? We are still at least two weeks...

    First Scrog Attempt

I don’t have any experience with soil, but I love DWC systems so far. As you can see I am growing in an attic, so trying to get messy soil up and down would be pretty horrible. Even getting the co2 tank up is a chore, so in a few weeks I will be investing in CO2 NG generator. Also our...

    First Scrog Attempt

Thanks man! Here's a few more pictures of our progress. I've been adding nutrients instead of flushing every week, and ended up having way to much nitrogen in the mix. The leafs are pretty dark, and some are clawing. Flushed them out and reduced the ppm a bit, and I am going to up it with...

    First Scrog Attempt

Finally wired up the dosers, and everything seems to be running smoothly. However the PPM's from the doser probes are constantly moving around, unlike my Blue Lab probe which remains constant. I think it is due to the recirculating water, but I am not positive. But I am going to have to test...

    First Scrog Attempt

Here's a few new pictures of how the grow is going. The veg plants have really taken off, so we will probable be cloning and switching them to the flower room in a few days. The plants in the flower room are really starting to fatten up, and have started to get frosty. Also ordered some Hanna...

seedling in trouble... dwc, tried everything (pics, +rep, free hat)

Your responding to someone who hijacked his thread, his plants are a lot bigger then those seedlings. He removed the picture, they were about 3 nodes tall.

seedling in trouble... dwc, tried everything (pics, +rep, free hat)

I'd probable just clip off those two lower nodes that look dead and bump up the ppm a hair since you said your <300? It should be fine.

seedling in trouble... dwc, tried everything (pics, +rep, free hat)

Yeah for little seedlings I try to keep airflow down a bit, and humidity a little higher to avoid drying them out. The new growth looks fine, I think it will start taking off. Guess you have been using magic green foliar feed?

seedling in trouble... dwc, tried everything (pics, +rep, free hat)

Yeah I usually have the same problem with new hydroton, the ph fluctuates a lot. Might want to bump it up a then, once those roots drop that baby is ready to explode with growth. Hows your airflow and humidity? Roots have dropped right? Here's my log...

seedling in trouble... dwc, tried everything (pics, +rep, free hat)

I have pretty much the same setup using House and Garden Aqua Flakes w/tap. I usually am at around 300 at that stage. Hows your ppm? I wouldn't try to "dial" your ph in that much, just let it ride out. I usually sit around 6.2 since I know ill be bumping up the ppm's soon anyways. Your 250...

    First Scrog Attempt

A little update on our progress. Tested the new cloner with some shoots we took from our flower room and it seems to be working nicely. The plants have slowed their vertical growth, and have started to fill out. The buds look like they are going to be pretty dense with the close separation...

Cooltube light distance heat vs light toxicity

They're 600's and the strain is afghan kush from world of seeds.

Cooltube light distance heat vs light toxicity

oh cool so you cant give a plant too much light? the nodes are maybe on average separated by half inch as of right now. should i expect them to separate much more at this point in flower?

Cooltube light distance heat vs light toxicity

So here is our log: https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/572835-first-scrog-attempt.html We are growing in an attic and have limited height. We have about 15 inches left between the canopy and the cooltubes. Is heat the only thing we have to worry about when it comes to them getting too close...

    First Scrog Attempt

Construction: Figured I would post a few pictures of before and after, and the process of building the grow room. Its been about 6 months total working on and off, and now its time to put it to the test. Lots of insulations, poly shield, wood, sweat and blood. Update: Here's a few pictures...

System specs: - Continuous grow cycle with veg room and flower room split into two sections for ~1 month harvests - Recirculating deep water culture (One 9 bucket system in veg room, Two 9 bucket systems in flower room) water chiller temp set to 69F (Using wort coils in each res) - Float...
