    Adding more for efficiency?

I have a LED board like this with a non dimmable 150w driver. Each board is 85w. Can i simply add two more boards, keeping the same driver? Sharing 150w between 4 boards instead of 2? And if so, it is there a noticeable efficiency increase?

Is it worth adding miscellaneous heatsinks to lights that 'don't need a heatsink'

I have one of the basic LEDs that are supposed to be fine with no heatsink, but I would just prefer if it were cooler. Is it worth adding for example various heatsinks from computer parts to the top of it. Obviously the heatsinks designed for such boards is an option but then you are defeating...

how to use Neemazal (similar to Azamax) to prevent root aphids

I have Neemazal T/S which is 10g/l azadirachtin. I believe this is pretty much the same as Azamax? I am not sure if i have root aphids, but I have had them in the past and want to prevent them. I don't even know what language the Neemazal instructions are in.

amount of light for auto seedlings?

how do you know how much light to give early autos without overdoing it or simply wasting electricity? I have a couple of 30w 6700k CFLs. I could use a 150W HPS but 98% of the light would be directed to the soil so it doesn't seem worthwhile. With photoperiod plants I woudn't be bothered, but...

Why is there a debate about silver vs white lined tents?

surely the issue of which best reflects the light is easily settled, and there should be one clear answer. My vote is for white btw.

    Flea treatment for root aphids?

i have heard from multiple sources that imadacloprid is the only thing that has a good chance of working against root aphids. Problem is that it is banned in UK (harms bees). But it is also the active ingredient in flea treatment, which obviously is available. Is there some reason why this would...

    Yellowing

First pic is an old pic of the original plant in flower. The next two are a cutting that us two weeks into flower and the last is the same plant in veg. It has feint yellowing between veins and accentuated at the end of the leaves. New leaves initially seem ok, but gradually start turning. Its...

    yellow leaves. brown spots

I bought a Ph pen, but then discovered that i also need distilled water and a thermometer in order to calibrate it, so perhaps the most useful piece of data I cannot provide. I can rule out high temperatures since I bought an air cooled hood. This is being grown in biobizz all mix soil, which...

    heat / light stress maybe?

This is a strain called custard cream, grown in soil under a 400w HPS, using biobizz nutrients. Currently just hit week 4 of flowering. Within the last week i saw this yellowing appear and it is continuing to progress day by day. I have tried to upload photos of the leaves at various stages...

Are there economies of scale with LED?

With HID, one big light is almost always better than multiple smaller ones that sum up the the same wattage. There are 'economies of scale' with HID, and getting the right size from the beginning is an important decision. As far as I can tell, this is not the case with LED. For example the...

    cloning from a retard plant

one of my plants is yellow and retarded. I left it to grow anyway and it ended up having tiny amounts of nice purple buds. I have been looking for purple phenos for a while. Now I have found one but it is a retard plant. Is it worth cloning it and trying to do something about the yellow?

did I genocide the beneficial bacteria?

Fungus gnats were really annoying me, and I nuked them with H202. Which I now realise would have also killed the beneficial bacteria. Would they have recolonised the soil? or did I kill them off? I had a really poor yield. Im wondering if this could explain it.
