dont know what the colours mean where you are but you have a positive, nuetral and an earth... Im guessing the spare is an earth and yes you need to "ground" it to make sure you dont ZAP yourself

i have always had tiny light leaks in all my grows and never ever had a hermie.. as above the moon puts out light and you can still see at night ;)

just hooked the tubes up and the temps are now 85
