Well, there isn't any more burning than this. It's stayed the same for a week or so. I'd add more light if I could. But it's a ghetto rig. I'm going to go to the hardware store after christmas and get an upgrade. Will the cut off part of the leaf regrow?

I seem to have fixed the problem that caused the tip burns in the first place. Unless the burn doesn't normally spread to other leaves... But, anything I should do to treat it? Anything I can do to make it green again?

I don't have any more little light holders, and I don't have the cash to go and buy new bulbs/light holders atm... If I find one lying around, I'll definitely hook it up.

I'm sorry, I do not have pictures. I have a plant, I know it's a little bit stretchy (4 to 6 inches tall). But it is only starting its second set of true leaves (Not including the cotyledon leaves). Is there a reason, besides it's strain and my shitty lights, that could be causing it to...

So, if I had a SMALL amount of coffee grounds to my misting water for extra nitrogen, it will burn the plant?

I've read a lot of articles saying that it raises nitrogen levels. Hmm... It's hard to tell what's true when there are so many sides to a story.

If I mist my plants right when I turn on the lights, can I put a small amount of coffee grounds in the water for extra nitrogen? My plants are just seedlings (4 days old), and I need to know if that will hurt them... Thanks...

10/4/11 Update Today, in 5 minutes, I'm switching the lights off for the first time since they sprouted. I'll leave them off for 6 hours, then turn them on at 9. I heard that having a "resting" period for the plants helped them grow stronger roots, and in turn, stronger/healthier plants...

They aren't autos. And they are just little babies right now. Like, they don't even have their first fan leaves yet. So, do I still need to let them sit in the dark? I wouldn't think so. FrmrBoi seemed to think it was fine...

Yeah, I'm going to definitely buy a timer. I'll just do it by hand for now.

Well, tomorrow, I'm starting the 3:00pm to 9:00pm dark time. I am looking forward to seeing the changes :D
